decent place nice food
well when i heard the name of the restaurant MELA , I started imagining that am gonna see a whole mela setup here but it wasnt ne thing like that . its a good simple place with nice food
we had 1 chicken starter and then in the main course ordered 2 chicken dishes both were nice
and we had black dal over there it was too good , very different in taste and very smooth
the restaurant is on the expensive side though good place 2 visit once
went to mela with some foreign client. the food was ok but not as per expectation.
ambiance is ok, may interest foreigners. my client actually like the puppet show and small shop that was selling some hand made indian art.
Food was very average and small portion. Given the portion and quality, i think it was way to pricey.
Crowd was think, very few tables occupied, that explains the overall buzz factor. Overall a very average experience
Dine at a Mela
Location- Worli Naka on the corner
Ambience As you walk in to the restaurant, there is small garden with a waterpump outside. The inside seating is also interesting with some tables teamed up with garden benches, there are collarges of Bollywood characters and old wall clock. They have an impressive menu, but their lunch buffet is extermly popular at Rs 320. The buffet is layed out in interesting brass serving trays. They have about a variety of 8 veg and Non veg starters, 4 veg, 3 types of dal, 4 types of roti. The sweets on offer are sooji halwa, gajjar halwa, gulabjamun and fruits. Out of which the gajjar halwa and gulab jamun was not very good, although am told by the guys who ate the gajjar halwa that the gajar halwa was good
You should head there- If you want to have a nice meal in an nice ambience without worrying to decide what to eat.
