Midnight food pangs
This place is the best late night food junction in the suburbs. Do try their chicken tikka katthi roll. One of the best I've had given it being a roadside open snack bar. Hygiene wise they are decent, quick in service and pocket friendly as well which sums up to every foodies check list.
would not go there again
after reading the reviews of others i was eager to eat from this road side place opposite to The Club at DN Nagar.
luckily or unluckily i got a 40% off discount from a web site coupon. ordered 2-3 non veg dishes and 2 veg dishes and everyone at home were highly disappointed.
its been a long time (some 1 year +) so i am unable to recollect the name of dishes. but generally my first order at ay new place is standard chicken (tikka, butter chicken) dish.
Average Food, Highly charged
The food taste is average. Its the same quality and quantity which you would find on any of the local carts outside railway stations and some streets, just branded it with a clever name "Mumbai Tawa". And then as usual add the tax and charge it as high as you can.
Great option for meal on-the-go
If you are the in the Juhu/Andheri Link Road area, are hungry and can't get reservations in a hotel, head to Mumbai Tawa. That's what we did on a Sunday evening when getting a table in any reasonably decent restaurant in the vicinity is a nightmare.
We had a paneer roll, chicken kabab roll, mutton kheema adrakwali with roomali roti, chicken biryani, egg masala gravy with naan, surmai tawa fry - of which only the surmai was a disappointment. The remainder was fairly decent food.
And the portions were surprisingly adequate, unlike other roadside joints in the area.
5 of us could happily feast on this stuff and there was food left over too!!
If you are really picky, then you might say that the biryani was more like pulav or the egg masala was too runny. But, if you like decent food at economical prices without any fanfare then this is the joint to head to.
Great Food, Gud Service & Reasonable price!!!!!!!!
?"MUMBAI TAWA" The recently opened roadside joint at D.N.Nagar Andheri (west), offers Yummy Kababs & Ammmaziiing Veg & Non-Veg food at a reasonable price (without any service charge+vat+service tax+blah blah blah).
Excellent service & home delivery in Andheri & Malad west. In Malad (west) its located jst ahead of InOrbit signal on Link road.
Trust Me...I'm not getting any commission for the promotion, but I'm really impressed with the business opportunity explored by its owner. Its really crowded on d weekends, so try it on a weekday...its really worth it !!!
visited this place after reading all the reviews here to get parcel. all right, it had two different tawas one for veg and one for non veg but all the good things end here. the guy who was making veg was licking the food with his fingers and without washing repeated the act 2-3 times while making one dish giving people highly unhygienic food.
i took home non veg but the taste was nothing great. it tasted very ordinary (chicken taka tak and chicken tikka and chicken tikka masala). one can get such food in every nook and corner of mumbai.
awesome food..need to improve service
Had food here 4 times now ..non veg is awesom..mutton, fish, chicken.. the veg menu is good esp the Malia tikki..avoid rolls n njoy the churchura paratha..
Service should improve since on weekends delivery takes 90 min or if u order at location it takes 45 min which is took much for a roadside restaurant..
stopped over for a quick bite.. and was pleasantly surprised. They have a good spread in the menu, the place (though on the road) looked comparatively clean n hygienic. The staff was active n friendly. We ordered for chikken tikka (wanted to play safe) and it came in a bright yellow plate. It was well marinated, spicy and accompanied by green chutney and sour onions. Got about 8pcs in a portion for Rs.150 was worth every penny! a must try!
finger licking good
Even though it caters from a roadside stall..it is almost impossible to avoid this joint
right outside the D.N nager police station.
The food is awadhy-muglai style of cooking, the chicken takatak, beja amritsari masala were simply yummy
Do try the boti bhoona masala along with their ever so soft and fresh Churchura paratha and naan.
The prices are not too steep at all, it definetly needs a branch in khar/bandra area (as planned by the owner)
P.S - its gonna be my new aada ;p
Sunday night, 11:30pm
Wanted a bite after the movie, remembered this place.
Stopped, ordered the chicken tikka TAKATAK with 2 nans.
Ate in solace, did not utter a word. Hot food, delicious to the palate made right in front of you.
Don't think twice the next time you'r hungry and need a bite. If you are nearby, I highly suggest a try.
Money spent: Rs. 190 ish
Satisfaction gained: im-measureable
Repeat Value: At least weekly ;)
A Nice Attempt - VFM!!!
I was out on a drive with a couple of friends the other night. The night was cold and we were hungry. We were jus passing by The Club, Juhu, when i we decided to try this new Place. There weren't many people so we were expecting our food quickly. The crowd started puring in after 10:00-10:30
We sat at the footpath and waited for our someone to take our order but for some time no one seemed to have cared. Then my friend went up to the manager and everything fell in place.
Within 2 minutes we had someone taking our order. We 3 decided upon 1 Chicken Adraki, and 3 Roomali Rotis. It came in pretty quickly ( presuming that they make it nearby and come and heat the food here or something). So the Roti were nice and soft, not at all undercooked unlike some places i have been to. The Chicken Adraki was nice and tender with the right taste, thankfully not too oily as i was expecting it. The portion size was fit for 2 strictly. but the price justified that. Hence we were forced to move onto a plate full of Chicken Biryani and coke. This portion size was better and the biryani was nice not to great and not at all bad.
There service was good and even though we were left unattended in the beginning.
After recieving a bill between 350-400 bucks, our pockets were also smiling. Hence i would recommed it to be a nice option to consider in the suburbs when you are out or wanna avoid going to bade miyan. J.J. Express and Hangla's better keep a watch. Worth trying. I'm surely gonna head back some time for the sea food.
