More is merrier certainly rings true when dining at Persian. You really need to come here in a group of atleast four to have a wholesome experience.
On weekends expect to wait 15-30 mins to get a table and no matter how large your group, the waiters will find a way to accommodate you. You may feel that the place is a bit cramped when you first enter, but that is nothing compared to how cramped your stomach will be when you leaving after your meal.
Saying that they have a large menu is far from the truth. If you add a couple of more pages, you will have the makings of a decent sized novel. Its that staggeringly vast. And there are some items which sound quite astonishing, like the 'bakra biryani' priced just over rs 4000. That sounds so mesmerising that I hope the bakras killed for preparing this dish get 72 bakris when they reach heaven.
In my opinion nine out of ten times you should go for one or more of the numerous raan dishes on offer, and their excellent murg musallam on other occasions.
If you are feeling especially hungry, the delightful crispy chicken, crispy prawn, lamb chilli etc are great choices for starters before eating the raan.
The service is great and the waiters are really friendly. And on the price front, this is real bargain. The raan dishes cost rs650-700 and can easily fill up four people.
