The place where I was treated well
The ambience is home like, no air conditioning yet the place is cool
Amazing food, delicious dishes is what I felt was the highlight of Potoba
Service - Prompt, good
Food - Yummy, tender, home like
Drinks - Fresh, tantalizing
I give it a 4/5
I had the best lunch time in the entire month of Feb 2012 at Potoba and I am sure others would agree with me.
I had Veg Kofta, cutlet, lassi and roti. All were top class in quality.
In my entire life, I have been to several restaurants that serve delicious meals & one of the best dishes but take a beating in case of Breads ( Roti, Chapati, Naan, Kulcha etc)
but when I went to Potoba, my roti was simply perfect, it was so tender, the reason I am stressing on this is because in Mumbai, major restaurants offer rubber like naan & rotis, but Potoba is a winner in this aspect.
I will visit again when I have to go to Mumbai University.
So much for the high price charged . On my first visit , the food I ordered took more than 30 minutes to arrive despite being completely empty (this was at around 7.30 pm on a Sunday evening , so no prices for guessing that due to the university being closed , not much of a crowd going on here) . When it finally arrived , some of the food was cold , somewhat felt like some items were re-heated as it did not taste fresh . The bill that came along did not do justice .
On a separate instance when i tried to place an order for a home delivery , first I was told that the minimum order is rs 150/- which i agreed despite this being an average small restaurant , but never mind I was hungry so anyways i order some stuff which the attendant kindly notes down . Then i tell my address which is just a bus stop away . On hearing that the attendant tells me that they are short on staff and i shall have to come and collect it . I guess they were expecting me to be from the same building or opposite to it since clearly traveling a bus stop away is a daunting task for them . I refuse !
On another second instance (READ : - Forgiving me decides to give these fools a second chance), I ordered some stuff which the person kindly noted and promised to deliver . After about 45 minutes , desperate and hungry I get a call stating that their staff is busy and cannot deliver and hence I shall have to go and collect the food myself . Thanks for realizing that your lazy scum of a staff were busy a cool 45 minutes later after I placed my order .
That was it . Despite being a bus stop away , I decided I'd never give them my hard earned money ever again . With an attitude like this , I will not be surprised and neither will I have any pity or sympathy if ever this place shuts down due to no profit . Good Riddance is all I shall say !!!
Pathetic, disgusting, rip off
The most pathetic food I've ever had.I stay right next to this hotel and since the time it has started I have ordered only once. I ordered for some hakka noodles at 6 in the evening and they didn't serve it saying, "Sir it's snacks time". I mean WTF? How is it 'gharachi aathavan' then?? A plain pav bhaji costs 100 bucks. What do they mean 100 bucks?? Even Shiv Sagar doesn't charge 100 bucks for a pav bhaji! It's a total rip off. The only way it works is because of the poor university students who don't have any other place to go and eat. If it was at some other location then I'm sure the potoba franchise would have shut and returned to Pune. Now I feel that the earlier restaurant WALK INN was much much better. I have to give it a rating isliye I'm giving 1 star. Actually half star! Agar mere bas mein hotaa toh mein iss faltu restaurant ko rate bhi naa kartaa!
