Good for one time visit

I went here for the first time last saturday. At first look, I liked the way they had done up the place but later on the dark lighting was too irritating. There was a super noisy group sitting a few tables away from us. The noise was so much that I couldn't hear my friend. I liked the veg starters and pani puri. Pasta was average and so was garlic bread. The main course was your regular Indian sabzis and rice so I didn't eat anything. Overall it was a decent experience apart from the noise. Wish they could do something about it.

A buffet in the jungle

Wild Dinning is a place with the ambiance given the feel of the jungle. The noise of the birds and the animals with light show is at regular intervals. The staff is dressed in the of the jungle ranger uniform. The food is good with a live pasta counter the starters are delicious and is a fun place to be with a company for lunch or dinner and is pocket friendly.

Not Welcome to this Jungle

Wild Dining and a similar theme too.. An eerie atmosphere, dark, dank, with animal cutouts - it is more of a joke than a restaurant..
Mostly Indian food which is lacklustre, appetizers which are not tasty enough, main course items which are ho-hum and nothing worth writing home about...
Popular with the kitty party crowd and families with kids who like to visit a zoo cum restaurant.
My view - stay miles away from this place!

DISGUSTING

BAD STALE FOOD - AWFUL AMBIANCE - DIRTY BATHROOM - JUNGLEE SERVICE - EXPENSIVE - COMPLETE DISGRACE

one more thing, they gave me some cheap whisky instead of Teacher's that I ordered with a pre-opened half empty soda bottle... BEWARE THESE PEOPLE ARE FRAUDS TOO.

WoW!

well, i should have written this review eons ago...but then just got it now!

Guys..without exaggeration the buffet is the best out here...both in terms of variety and taste! Now, u usually get a HUGE variety of food items in mostly all buffets (be it a 5-star, 3-star or a stand alone restaurant)...and USUALLY the food sucks...well atleast the main courses (especially if its Indian food). However, Wild dinning sure is a very pleasant surprise. It's main course packs quite a punch! It dosent matter whether u are a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian...u are in for a genuine treat!

Now u top that up with exotic ambience and also a seperate enclosure (a very nicely constructed 'stone-age-CAVE') for diners who prefer a bit of privacy n lo! u have a great restaurant that should be visited atleast once by any food lover!

Highly recommended for all....n oh! by the way..the pricing is sure to make you smile! :)

THE REAL JUNGLE

I visited this place yesterday on the recommendation of my cousin who is a regular ther. i must say the place is amazing. Fantastic place, ambiance, food. One feels out of the concrete jungle (mumbai) into the real jungle. The food is awesome with lots of variety. the food is a real steal. I'd definitely recommend the place.

Disgusting food

Friends I was at Pratap's fine dining last evening and it was a big big disappointment. While I have visited this place once before, this time aroundI felt like smashing the manager's face. The paneer was stale, puri in pani puri was stale and had a chemical like after taste and I puked after having the mutton curry. these basatrds charge Rs 599 for this crappy food. Nice way to con customers by just using the ambience to mask their sub-standard quality of food they serve. I spoke to the manager and told him about all this but he seemed least interested. I would never ever go back to this place. I infact would bring this to the notice of the Food departmeny and ensure I give these guys a tough time for cheating customers like this

SUPERBB - 5 star

I visited this place on the 28 January 2013. Superb Ambiance. My kids loved the place. Good starters, the mutton sheekh kabab, chicken, fish, all are worth a try! For the main course, the chicken methi is really good, devour them with thin butter naans. The mutton biryani though was not great and needs improvement. But all in all a lovely place, that I shall visit again in February – Anil Singh, Juhu: 9821122248 Email id: rocknrhyme@gmail.com

A Good Eatery That Has Lost Its Charm

The first time I visited this place, my husband (then boyfriend) had taken me here for a lunch date. It was a good experience overall. Although, the interior is pretty dark so we had trouble figuring out our way to a table. The food was quite good and the ambiance was interesting too. The next time we went, we were quite disappointed. I have heard similar reviews from other friends too. It was a decent place to go to initially for good food and a good experience. Their standards have come down a lot. I wish they can improve their service.

DISGUSTING

I am writing this review after a bad case of food poisoning because of eating at Wild Dining. Horrible ambiance with poor lighting, bad air conditioning, bad seating, plastic plates n glasses!!! Service is highly bad be ready to ask at least 5-6 times before u actually get something... Starters are not mention-able the supposed kebabs were just bhajiyas which one can get at any roadside stall or station. The chinese food was just ginger n oil flavored. The main course options are highly limited and that too don't taste good. They were out of desserts even though it was a fairly lesser crowded night. W ehad to requets them to atleast get us some cake and what good is a dessert counter if it has no chocolate. PEOPLE PLEASE DON'T WRITE WRONG REVIEWS AND IF YOU HAVEN'T TRIED GOOD PLACES, THEN PLEASE TRY SOME!!!
I RUINED MY FRIENDS BIRTHDAY PARTY CAUSE OF THE APPARENTLY GOOD REVIEWS WRITTEN HERE WHICH MISLED ME!!!!

some weeks back went there as i have liked the buffet here before.but to my surprise the place has been made small , so its got congested!

but the main this is that their buffet menu has been lessened too. it was too depressing to see the buffet has shrunk :( and that too at rs 507/- without taxes)
so hence this place is out of my frequent lists noww

horrible service

I went to this place yesterday and experienced terrible service. I always had to call them if I needed them. The napkins were smelling. And there was was no response from the manager. They were busy attending guest at birthday parties being celebrated there. If they only want to attend to larger groups, they should give some prior advice to smaller ones.

One More Buffet In Town. Now With A Jungle Theme..

Awesome buffet with a jungle theme .A must visit for animal lovers. Kids will enjoy to the fullest. Speaking of the ambience, you experience a candle light lunch during the day in a jungle. The variety is pretty good. They also provide great starters, a good Main course and heavenly desserts. They also serve a something called as the "Mango Dessert" which has mango cake, mango ice-cream & mango pulp which is just out of the world. Something that may have been rarely tasted. Service is good. One thing worth mentioning is that at certain times waiters serve food inspite of it being a buffet. This place is good for Vegetarians as well as Non-Vegetarians. A good place to visit. Somthing that I would definitely recommend to food lovers for starters & desserts.

Simply Amazing!

True to their name provided with an excellent ensemble of ambiance, decor and entertainment with makeshift forest sounds and animations. Every half an hour they have this10 minute event that showcases jungle sounds of lions and owls and figurine appearing from the woodwork and corners of the restaurant with an equally entertaining sporadic light show. Stewards uniformed in forest guide attire help you through your starters and beverage.
Coming to the food area, a great multi-cuisine buffet provided with great finger licking food to top off with a cold buffet, a live pasta counter and the dessert buffet all under one roof.
If you ain't eerie about the jungle, this is the place to be!

Nothing wild about it....

I have always heard about this place, more recently from my daughter who had visited with her friends.

Overseas visitors - 4 children below 10 - gave me an opportunity to visit this place on Saturday afternoon.

It is situated in a mall where besides the restaurant, golds gym and salon, nothing seems to really work.

The place is nicely decorated with a kind of jungle theme, with very dim lighting (Not romantic).

It operates on buffet system.

Starters:

Vegetarian - Pizza, garlic bread, Nachos (Pizza had a rubbery kind of cheese but the base was very crisp, gralic bread and Nachos were much better)Paani Puri - ok; canape, crispy veg, paneer tikka - all average; though the dal wada were very good with the green chutney.

Non Vegetarian - Chicken tikka - good, tandoori chicken - bad, fish koliwada - piping hot and very good, schezwan chicken was nice.

Mains - There were the obligatory two vegetables, two non vegetarian, dal, breads, papad, pickle, salad, raita.

Desserts - Mousse, cake, gulab jamun and three types of ice creams

All in all the food was average and at nearly the same cost China ! or Grillopolis is a much better option.

An awesome place with a very unique theme..

It being a sunday evening we thought of dining out but since most of the places were already been visited by us so we thought of going in a yet new sort of a theme dining, eventually we ended up going in this place "Pratap's wildlife Dining - A Jungle theme Restaurant". Not so far away in Andheri, situated in a mall in Oshiwara, most of us were skeptical about its ambience and the environment around but to our surprise it was just a totally unique and different from inside. The service was excellent starting with the appetizers having a nice range of starters served were Fish tikka, Chicken hariyali, Paneer tikka, and a few more of varities, although in soup sea food soup was an attempt to make something different, The variety of salads was also remarkable with a combination of peanut dip and pinapple dip to add with chicken salad and other veggie salads. Main course also was as good as the rest inclusive of mutton biryani to add a mughalai touch to the food, with other varities in fishes, meat and veggies, With an addition of Italian pasta, Pizza, Nachos and few other varities it was a mouthwatering treat, Desserts too had a variety of combination from Indian to Continental flavor inclusive of barfi, gulab jamuns and firni to custard, jelly, flavored icecreams and cake. I guess its a good value for money afterall in 375 rupees a whole meal of the combination of such choices that too unlimited is anytime a fair deal. Keep it up Wild Life dining :)

Beware - The gate policy sucks!

Wild Dining, a place with interesting interiors sadly has a pathetic gate policy. We had gone for dinner to this place last weekend. On reaching, we came across a semi-bald man (who probably was the manager) standing at the entrance like a gate-keeper who asked us to buy gate-passes. On being asked what was the gate-pass for, the gate-keeper explained that the guests were supposed to pre-pay for the buffet. Absolutely weird and to a large extent a CHEAP policy to have your guests pay before they have even started dining. Still, after having a laugh at the silly policy, we ignored that bull-shit, and were ready to pay. We were a group of 8 friends - 2 of which were fasting and hence couldn't eat. We spoke to that semi-bald gate-keeper about the same and told him that we are ready to pre-pay for dinner for the 6 of us and requested him to allow the rest 2 to just enter so as to accompany us as we obviously would not want them to wait outside the restaurant while we 6 were dining inside. But instead the gate-keeper made us read the policy pointing us to the rule that 'Irrespective of the guests actually eating or not, all the guests who wish to enter have to pay for the buffet'. That sounded like a rule at the cinema hall or a concert. Not even 5-stars have such senseless rules. No wonder Wild Dining has to advertise in Bombay Times and other newspapers on a regular basis and in spite of doing so, it has empty seats hoping for diners even on weekends which is totally contrary to the restaurants nearby (The Dhaba, a restaurant nearby, had at least 40 people waiting outside for their turn even at 10.30pm on Saturday).

In such a competitive environment, its high time the promoters of wild dining re-think and change such idiotic policies. All the best to Wild Dining!

Good but not Great!!

He, who loves the jungle may head out here!! The worst is the location though that put me off! cant believe its located in this deserted,Cseemingly haunted scary mall which has been overtaken by real estate agents.

You brave yourself through the nightmare of the mall and head straight to wild dining and you are transported to a jungle - a different world altogether. Loved the ambiance - wild animals, tribal hunters, birds, brilliant concept!! Oh, and not to forget the waiters dressed like like hunters themselves!! They have a light and sound as well. The highlight of the evening. An excellent place for kids, must say.

A vast array of unlimited starters fills you to the brim. Its about 4/5 starters. Not forgetting the pizzas, nachos, tacos the 2 soups, appetizers as well before the starters. Head on to the buffet. Eat to your hearts content and there's dessert if that isn't enough for you!

I've been there about 3/4 times on the weekends, but havent noticed change during weekends. I really don't know when exactly they bring about the change. I would love to try a change because the same thing gets boring after a while.

The quality of food is decent. The downer is the kheer that lacks taste.

The pricing was somewhere about Rs. 450 per head. Reasonable indeed considering what they had to offer. They need to bring abut little change and improvise drastically on the kheer.

Sherkhan would be proud of you

Last Thursday my family placed their bet on this place. We wanted to take the kids out to some place (no, not the McDonald's kind), so we decided to take them to Pratap's Wild Dining since it is close to where we live and there are plenty of options nearby in case we wanted to bail out ;-)

The mall where this place is located looks like a ghost town. We were a bit apprehensive at first, but the moment we set foot in this place we knew things were only going to get better from then on. The place is a decent knock off the Rainforest Cafe theme, though not quite as elaborate. The waiters are dressed as Shikari Shambhoos and the place has a good vibe.

We were given a table as soon as we reached. Once we settled down, we were told that there is a buffet going on. Their appetizers and the main courses for the vegetarians are quite decent. The prices are not insane either. The food is predominantly Indian, however for the appetizers you can get mini-pizzas, nachos, tacos etc.

The service is quite efficient and friendly.

Overall a big thumbs up from my side.

Worst Place ever Visited

What a way I chose to burn 3 thousand rupee.

I visited with couple of friends and my wife to wild dining this Saturday referred by a moron friend of mine. He got his share of thrash later.

Its a dimly lit restaurant on 3rd floor of Heera Panna mall. The mall itself is a big failure at first, instead of shopping showrooms majority of space is occupied by real estate agents and small offices.

As soon as we reached first we found out that one of the lift was not working and there was no mention of it, after waiting for some time we figured out second lift only to find out a very dirty lift painted in different colors of Pan, Gutkha and supari. Wasn't difficult to locate the place on 3rd floor. As we entered, we were given a place in the center with virtually no light in the premises. We kept asking for menu and the price for buffet (Not mentioned anywhere) but we were only informed after we were served starters without our permission. Well later we were informed the cost was INR 450 per person. My poor wife who can only eat 2 chapati in one go felt badly cheated (Atleast we deserve to know how much we are paying for the service offered). We had seen many people returning back without eating may be because of the price or the rotten ambiance.

Well about the place, it looks completely artificial with statues of adivasi and plastic trees and few lions kept in corner(the toys we buy for 200 rupee on foot) When noticed closely(dim light) under the table we found lot of dust, paper wrapper and few other kachra that was stinking. Probably the dim light was also to help hiding these things.
The Food:- Well the starter was very bad in taste and was stale, looked like was cooked 3 days before. The waiter dressed like hunters were actually hunting us down. The way they were serving us was liking throwing flesh to animals in zoo. I think these were low paid village people. Very arrogant, dint know anything abt curtesy, manner... They kept mounting on our head and filling the plate without asking... By this time we were already annoyed and regretting on our decision.

Well the best part the rest room........... REST ROOM WAS STINKING LIKE ANDHERI STATION PUBLIC TOILET. Once I had to go to andheri station public toilet due to emergency. Mc D was shut that day. If I had to compare bothe the rest rooms probably I will vote for Andheri station better. Girls with us denied using the restroom.

Finally the food.... Well I expected atleast something out of the money i was paying.. ALL I CAN SAY IS I HAD TO BE SATISFIED WITH ROTI AND CURD. I could not eat anything else.

This is a review by a normal AAM CUSTOMER... I know what PR agency does to promote such shady places . Please ignore this place if you value your hard earned money. I wouldnt visit this place even if these guys offer me 500 ruppe and free food and drinks.

Well forgot to mention my wife had food poisoning next morning and had to go to see a doc.

Can anyone suggest if I can sue these guys??

Paisa Vasool

One of the best Buffet dinners in this part of the suburb.

Starters:
Excellent starters to go with your drinks (8 Veg/4 Non Veg)

Main Course:
Variety is the spice of life.
Biryani, Pizzas, Nachos, Chinese, Salads, Chicken curry, Fish curry. I bet you will get confused with the choices. Not to miss the platter of veg dishes.

Sweet Dish:
Ice cream, Suffles, Jellies, cakes, super choice

Ambience:
As you enter, the jungle theme takes you by surprise. The lighting and sound effects go well with the decor. We were seated in the cave enclosure with lovely decor, which is kind of a private affair, where your group can chiil. There are occasional bursts of lightning/animal sound effects and people dressed as animals, which the kids would enjoy.

Service:
The waiters are well mannered and treat you well. If you are seated in the cave enclosure then the waiters cater to you personally with the starters and stuff. Else you are free to help yourself.

Price:
We had been there on a Saturday night and @400 person its a steal. Kids below 8 yrs are charged lesser.

Overall:
Highly recommended, worth every penny.

best buffet

I went there yesterday with 9 of my friends and we had a great time. The food is amazing, good variety and awesome ambiance. the service was not that good, but considering, it was jam-packed from the time we entered till we could exit, but could be overlooked.

There are 2 soups, 8-10 types of starters (veg and non-veg), main course also has a good variety of both veg and non-veg items. they have a huge variety of desserts, including atleast 3-4 types of ice-creams. The food tastes really good.

The ambiance is superb. the best tables were inside the "Cave". You get privacy over there. The jungle theme had a lot of thought put into it. There are various people dressed as animals, who are a great entertainment especially for the kids.

There are a few negatives though. The place is a bit congested with people eating standing near the counter and buffet-table. because the place is almost always crowded, we had to wait outside on terrace for more than 45 mins to get a table inside. The waiters and usherers are very polite, though.
Its not very expensive neither very cheap. It comes to about 380 per person after tax on weekdays and around 400-420 on weekends (w/o liquor).

Overall, an amazing experience. the best buffet i've had in Mumbai.

great place...lovely ambience and delicious food

i went to this place last weekend with a bunch of friends and my younger brother. Completely loved the decor and the food out there. They have such a large range of dishes that it makes it almost impossible to have everything. The best part was that the veg and non-veg people were all happy with the food and couldn't stop eating. The desserts were really yummy, especially the banana soufle.
i would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a good meal and a good time. at 450 per head on a Saturday night this was really a steal and completely paisa vasool.

Great Food! Must try...

5 of us visited the place on 17th Sep 2010. The ambiance is good, sort of reminds you of Machaan @ Malad. Moving around the table to reach the food counter is not the best.
However, Food is probably the best buffet you may try in Suburbs. Very well made. Loads of variety from Indian tandoori, dal(yummy), chicken, to pizza, pasta, chinese! And the deserts are fab too.
Service wise the staff is elegant and friendly and even give you a few suggestion(they suggested taco's and we liked it)..
1 suggestion - if you gonna have drinks. Dont try out anything with whisky that sucks. Just stick to the usual!
Overall a very good experience!

Incredible Exotic One of the best buffet in Mumbai

If you want to describe this place in two words......
"Simply Outstanding"
Every things was too good. Infact we were thinking about that how can every thing be so perfect.. We started with mast Aallo tikki and Aaloo chat followed by starters (can't count the number of dishes but liked the pasta and chicken the most) then awesome main course with lots of variety and last but not the least mouth watering desserts. Its totally a Paisa Wasool place.

RARE EXPERIENCE

Food Quality: 5/5
Food Quantity: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Ambience: 5/5
Pricing: 5/5

We went for a Lunch Buffet and we were amazed at how well this place replicates a jungle. The statues, the clay reptiles, the rocks etc. Everything was at its enchanting best. Was definitely a very memorable experience. Not to forget, an incredibly RARE set up!

I've not been to a Jungle Theme restaurant before, this place has tried its best to succeed at the concept, they could do better by adding somehting a little interesting to the "Jungle Show" though. They have the animals (monkeys i think) moving all about with some monkey sounds played at the background. The lighting is very well done and we sat in the cave area.

Service was brilliant, they came to us repeatedly asking us if we'd like anything more, if we're pleased with the food and so on. Everyone wore smiles. Well trained Crew!

The Food variety was awesome! They had multiple main course items, creamy salads and the desert was pur bliss. I dont recall the starters too well, but we indulged in the chicken somehting and the paneer somehting. Lamb, chicken and fish were the prime meats served.

The amount per person wasn't more than 500/- to my knowledge. I'd recommend you call them before you drop in a visit. Good concept guys and Excellent implementation. Cheerios!

Bad Experience..cheap jerks

Had reserved a table to celebrate a Birthday over the weekend, Once we arrived, we were given a place in one corner which could accommodate only 10 people whereas we were 11 of us. when we brought it to their notice the waiter told us that " this is not my problem", manager seemed very unfriendly and unhelpful. Then they kept shifting us from one place to another. Also, they didn't have a high chair for a baby, which is pathetic as almost all restaurants nowadays have one and considering the theme of the restaurant- jungle theme. Overall we had a bad experience and I would not recommend it to anyone as it was rather embarrassing for us in front of all guests.

go empty stomach to enjoy to the fullest

Food here is amazing. In 450 you can eat unlimited. This place is meant for foodies especially for non vegetarians. Salads and soup is served buffet style. Starters are served by the waiters and they don't stop till you tell them to. Starters are so filling that it becomes difficult to get till the desserts. Non veg starters have variety of items from tandoori, Manchurian, kebabs, etc in chicken as well as fish. Main course is a kind of rice along with 2-3 types of gravy dishes. Desserts here are not to be missed especially the firni, daal ka halwa, and rabdi. There is not much specialty about the ice cream as you need place for better desserts. The ambiance here is very friendly. The place is decorated like a jungle and there are artificial tigers, deer, monkeys placed around. The lighting is dim and there are family tables as well as smaller tables for 2. There is also a cave like arrangement which differentiates the area. The place is a little difficult to access and the neighborhood is somewhat shabby. But once you inside, only thing that matters is how much u can eat. Its worth the amount you pay. I have been there twice and both times, the food has been extra ordinarily amazing. loved it.

Damnnnn!!!

Autobiography of a stomach:

Was hungry a few days ago...my master decided to take me to a jungle situated in a quaint galli of Versova.

The FOOD, especially the starters were horrendous was on the verge of misbehaving and drawing the wrath of me master. He then unleashed the deserts that were ok. I was having a tough time.

The AMBIENCE was child like put me master in a churlish mood.

The SERVICE by shikhari shambu and his gang forced me into peals of laughter bounced from left to right.

The PRICING was the only redeeming factor. I am very sure of it because I heard me master say so and he patted me too.

ALL IN ALL, a bad experience. I refuse to take that food in again!!

Its a Jungle Out There!

Once Eaten, Twice Blah!

I understand the rare reviews given to Pratap’s Wild Dining. After all I was blown away the first time I ate here. The food was awesome, the jungle theme outstanding and the hourly jungle music was entertaining but I don’t know if it’s the fire at the mall or something else, the quality of the food has really detoriated! Hugely disappointed! I’ve been here before and therefore recommended this place to a few acquaintances (who I think will not speak to me after this experience) The chicken was either over cooked or too spicy. I didn’t wasn’t to risk getting salmonella through the red meat. The fish on the other hand was really good. They stuff with you starters and there are barely any options for Salads/Main course. (dips are in plenty which makes no sense). Need I mention the lack of cutlery on the table? As far as desserts are concerned the Halwa and the Souffle were good. On the contrary the phirni was made specially for a diabetic – non sweet! Even though the buffet is really affordable it wasn’t Value for Money. After all, every penny counts!

Brilliant & Innovative - Delicious Food + Variety

This jungle theme restaurant speaks of innovativeness & differention from the word go. Not only is the ambiance & decor set differently but even the buffet system, the separate multiple live counters is a rare
sight in restaurants other than those in the pricey hotels.

The decor bears resemblance to the jungle in means of the stone patterned walls, sculptures of various animals, table setup, darkly lit & even the jungle music every 20 mins or so. They definitely succeed
on all counts. I especially liked that mini bridge!

The food is all about variety & taste & once again full marks on this.
They have live counters for pizzas (ok), Nacos & Tacos (excellent) & pastas (heavenly). There is never a better thing than your pastas
being cooked on front of u & customized to your taste. The pastas I had here would give even the best Italian joints a run for their
money! The had ample of starters which were served hot to the table.
Main course comprised of some Chinese dishes & 3-4 curry dishes. The dal jungli & chicken makhani were fabulous. Finally u will not be disappointed with the quality & variety of desserts.

It's amazing how all of this is done with a nominal price tag of approx 400 pp!! On top of this kudos to the staff & service. Quite
efficient & polite. So anytime u crave for a variety of different cuisines & you are really hungry - head to this joint for some different yet delicious buffet experience.

The Jungle Experience

You have to visit this place for the unique jungle-like environment that you can experience here. With trees, bridges and animals around, you get a feeling of being in the wild, having a picnic! You can also choose to sit in a Cave (aka Den). You have to book quite early for this. It is slightly dark throughout the restaurant even though you have lit candles at your table.

Kids love this joint - lot of animal statues and at least one person in an animal suit to keep them entertained. There's jungle music (drums, tribal music) being played, which gets a tad loud at regular intervals which is when the wild mechanical animal and tribal mannequins start moving.

Type: Buffet

Food: Lot of variety - veg & non-veg salads, 4 veg starters, 4 non-veg starters, garlic breads, pizzas, nachos, tacos, 3 non-veg gravy dishes (fish, chicken, mutton), 3 veg gravy dishes, veg rice (steamed rice, veg pulao, veg biryani), non-veg rice (chicken/mutton biryani), 4-6 desserts, distilled water (cold/normal). I may have missed a few, I think!

Price: Rs. 325 (weekdays) and Rs. 350 (weekends)

Plus points:
1. Unique experience
2. Value for money (lot of variety and unlimited quantity)
3. Great place for parties with family and friends of all ages

Not so plus points:
1. Music volume increases at regular intervals (every 30-45 minutes for 3-5 minutes)
2. Service could be a bit faster

All in all a definite "must try at least once" for any foodie.

A totally synthetic experience

Been to this terrace place in Oshiwara at the recommendation of some friends. Disappointing to find synthetic greenery, faux plants, animals and human figures. In trying to create some drama it ends up becoming like the set of a nautanki. Look how Bollywood is affecting the food industry too!!
Probably my expectations were different from what got delivered.
The food is generally nice, although in the dark, dingy atmosphere it is difficult to see what you are eating. I hope it was hygienic. The service is attentive and the value for money is good. Could have been a better experience for sure.

It's a zoo rather then a jungle.

If Rakhi Sawant inaugurated this place then it goes without saying how you expect this place to be. A Jungle theme restaurant which occupies 3rd floor of spooky mall at Andheri has everything fabricated, fictitious and melodramatic, the kids love it there. Definitely not a place to go if you are on a date. The food and the service is quite ho hum, the forest rangers come to serve you round's of BURNT tandoori's and stuff. If you are looking for quality food this is the wrong place. If you are looking to amuse your kids, go for it. I bet they'll love it. It would be great if they improve on food quality and hygiene cause there are many insects in this zoo, sorry jungle.

Quantity not quality

I am not a big fan buffets, but went here anyways for my little nephew hoping he would enjoy the setup and I don't have to shut him up every time he shouts or bangs the fork on plate. He did have a good time! Its a total family venue.
For adults: If you eat a LOT and buffet is your thing you should definitely go here. There was good variety and food tasted way better than normal buffet places. The Nachos were really good. Other starters not so good. Main course items were better. Dessert counter sucked, negative points on that. They had 3 flavors of Amul ice-cream, a very liquid fruit salad, not so tasty sponge cake pastry and few other items.
We all were full after a round of starters and did not eat anything after that. It was kind of a waste for us.
In the same price I would have had better tasting food made to order in a nicer restaurant.
But I think this is a nice place if i wanna throw a party, I will surely consider doing that.

Mumbai's own rainforest... ;)

Step by step.

Ambience: This place is quite inconspicuous in itself, with a small entrance, but the moment you step in, you're in a completely different world. Its dark and slowly when your eyes get adjusted to the dark, the magic begins. You'll leave the world behind. There are trees overhead, dark like a real rainforest, and soft jungle music playing... there are various artificial animals, and tribals and during the special effects show, all of these seem to come to life!!!

Food: Its primarily a buffet place, and the rates are as low as 325 /head, inclusive of all taxes. The food is really amazing in for both veg and non-veg... they have 2 soups, 6 salads, various dressings, around 10 starters, great main course including indian and chinese and last but not the least, great desserts. Around 6-7 desserts including soufflé, gujab jamun, jelly and a variety of icecreams.

Totally awesome. Be there to believe it.

Jungle main mangal

If you are bored visiting the same kinds of restaurants, then this is the right place and time to visit Wild n Dine. A very cosy place inside and outside in Open Terrace, you get a different feel altogether. You'll be amazed when pay and get a wonderful service. Truly this one is recommended for a weekend along with your friends, family, etc.
The best part is definitely the food which you get along with nice ambiance. Starters are real good, with a combination of good served nachos and soups, however you can try avoiding pastas, but main course experience is enhanced by the variety of deserts served. One would love to just have the deserts. After every maybe 20 to 30 mins they start a small show which then takes you to the jungle world completely.
Overall a great place with great ambiance with great food and lovely service and amazingly well price.

This place is an unique experience for children. The jungle theme is something kids enjoy. The stuffed animals too provide entertainment for youngsters. add to that every hour they have a sound show where all the lights are switched off and all u hear is the sound of animals. Living in a concrete jungle like mumbai this was a change we can all appreciate albeit for a short while. The food was good too however non-vegetarians have limited choice. My kids had a blast and kept themselves entertained thereby leaving adults to enjoy the evening too.

average food

Either the place has downgraded it's food quality or they've just stopped caring about the service they need to offer. Went there for the Sunday lunch buffet a while ago and it was quite a disappointment as we ended up going there after deciding between Sakinaka's BBQ Nation, Global Fusion and this place. The starters were delayed and some of them were served cold. The chaat station and desserts were the only decent stuff out there and even among the chaat, the palak one was the only thing worth eating. The rest of them had dollops of some weird chutney which gave an awful sweetish taste unlike any other. The main course had a fish dish which was alright. The dal was too oily. I guess I just had to give up on the rest of the dishes and only stuck to the desserts in the end. This place really needs to pick up its pace or it'll shut down just like the rest of the shops in that defunct mall which, just as future reference, doesn't let you park inside as it is only for Gold's Gym members so we need to park on that awful street full of garbage and cattle with their poop.

awesome interiors, ......food......well...duh!!!!

Had gone to prataps wild dining the other day, found the interiors and the set of the restaurant pretty good, the jungle theme is well established, there is also a cave sitting in the restaurant but it felt a little claustrophobic, but the outside tables are good enough to make you feel you are in a jungle. There are animal noises at regular intervals, the loos are well named for lion and lioness, everything seems to be working at first before the food arrives.
The waiters seem in a rush to pile food on your plates as soon as you settle on your table. Its a buffet and starter place costing you around 600 per person. The starters to be honest are very okayish but that's all you should have. The main course buffet is not worth going at all. The mutton in the mutton biryani didn't looked like mutton at all. It seemed some aged meat left in a bland flavourless rice. There is a chaat counter and a nachos counter too. The nachos seem to be made of thick maida rotis that are deep fried and a plasticky cheese sauce to smear it with. The only decent food I liked over there was fish pakodas and chicken 65. Everything else, a well below average to poor food. Its better you pay 100 bucks extra and go to a place like barbecue nation, this restaurant is for those who like to go to these places only for themes and have zero knowledge about the quality of food. Absolutely not recommended...never thinking of going back, waste of money.

A big let down

We have been wanting to visit this place for a long time and we finally did.
This place is located on the third floor of heera panna mall, there are no sign boards whatsoever to actually find this place .
After looking around a lot we found it and were shocked to see how small it was.

Ambience- Located in a shady mall ,the size of the restaurant is small, nothing as compared to other theme based places i have been to.
The other problem is the lighting, its so dark that its even difficult to spot the animals or statues there.
Then theres the seating which is highly uncomfortable ,the distance between the bench and tables was quite a lot and in some places too less.
So the entire concept of jungle cannot really be felt .

Food- There was pani puri, pastas, a few salads ,starters, nachos ,maincourse and desserts.
The nachos were below average, garlic bread had no cheese, the non veg chicken starers were good.
The maincourse had mainly vegetarian items but all below standard, The mutton biryani was very average .
The deserts were nothing like what they should be like gulab jamuns were too sweet ,the phirni was not like phirni ,the chocolate ice cream was good.

So if i was asked what i enjoyed in the food it will only be the chicken starters and chocolate icecream.

Service- The staff looks so disinterested and bored .

So should one go to this place ?
I think No, there are many other great buffets to try out then this below average stuff .
The time and effort to get here and the hype is just a waste .

The price for 3 persons came to 1400.

excellent! !

The experience of the place is worth going along with the food. The number of starters each being one of its kind in taste is worth spending for a buffet.

good buffet but why photography not allowed?

Food was good, has a good spread of starters, soups. Even liked the new chaat and sweet counter outside. deserts. Didint eat main course but Friends with me said the mutton biryani was awesome. But i just cant understand 1 thing! Why cant one click pics for memories?? it sounded so STUPID when we were told not to click pics in there. Can the management tell me if are they under some terror threat for the al quaida? Bigger places allow photography.
So had to rate one star less. But this place has to be visited when on an empty stomach! They also have a 15% discount on the bill

Theme restaurant . . A must visit

Must Try : Different variety of Starters, Pizza, Pasta & Nachos

My ratings :
Ambience 8/10
Value for money 8/10
Service & Taste 8/10

Rs540 on any day with variety of food is worth. The highlight of the theme based restaurant is the sound & the light effect that makes you feels like you are really in a jungle. A must try with a group of friends who loves drinks & foods. The cave made in the restaurant is best for a group of friends to have their private space & still have fun.

good experience

Visited wild dining thrice in the past two months. Twice on weekends and once on a weekday. Lavish buffet with 15 starters, couple of maincourses, nachos pizza and pasta counter. Lovely pasta i've ever had but i feel the variety of starters is much better on the weekends as compared to the weekdays. A total VFM package good food both in terms of quality and variety. Kudos

Nice VFM buffet

A quick Lunch stop here always turns into a Lavish Buffet and unbuckling of Jeans belt .
This jungle themed restaurant is spacious and dimply lit on purpose .
The buffet has 3 very distinctive corners
1) Soup + salad counter 1veg and 1 non veg soup ...followed by 8 varieties of cold salads
2) The Pasta Pizza Nacho counter where u can customise what u want to eat . A very good flavour of Nachos totally makes the Day .

3) the starter /Main course counter ... about 5 veg and 5-6 non veg starters ...
i never have the Veg starters ...but surprisingly i eneded up having more Veg this time than Non Veg ...they simply just keep dumping starters in your plate till u reach the point of Hiding the plate and say NO to the server .
The main course after a crazy 3-4 rounds of starters seems like a bad idea...because u are totally stuffed and want some dessert too ...
Prawn curry , chcicken kadai , mutton biriyani were part of it. Also noodles, manchurian and some Dals .

Finally comes the desert counter. Soufflé , Gulab jamun, pastry, 4 ice creams make u regret that u are already full ..

Overall a VFM buffet . totally recommended .

Also go there on an empty stomach .

bad maintainence of Loos

This was my second visit to Wild Dining - The food was okay. The food in buffet is done for a mass, so it is averagely spicy, but this buffet definitely needed more color and taste.
The dessert section was thankfully amazing. For the main course non veg though there was not much choice.
For some reason all non veg dishes were very high on salt. .
We did enjoy veg starters and main course though. Pakora kadi and aloo mutter were appetizing
The most shocking were the Washrooms. They stink and are very poorly maintained. I feel the most important part of a restaurant experience is the loos. There was no water,
the only good thing was their service. Very friendly and prompt service.
The management needs to pull up their socks. Cleanliness is a big issue at this place.

Liked the concept wished the food was as good

The concept of wild dining is good. But too dark but then that is what its all about. Service is good. The starters were nice. Pani puri was awesome. But where they lacked was in main course and deserts. The gulab jamun was too sweet, so much so that a person could instantly die of diabetes. And mutton biryani was just about less than average. Wish they would have emphasized more on the main course and deserts which form a main part in a buffet. For price of Rs 475 for lunch buffet i felt it was not worth it.

an awesum birthday bash

I rang in my birthday along with my family this year at wild dining. We had made a prior reservation of 20 people in advance. the place is done up with a superb theme. We started with the soups which were average, loved their pastas and nachos. The pizzas were equally good and so was the pani puri. Their starters were great, specially loved their dal wada and paneer tikka.. The main course is fabulously done too. i loved their dal junglee and paneer sabzis. The rotis and naans are tender and mouth melting. The dessert section could be improvised on a little. Rs 550 on a weekend is a steal. Total VFM

Beautiful Themed Restaurant

A beautiful jungle themed restaurant. Loved the ambience as it is quite spacious and beautifully done. A good variety of starters right from kebabs to tandoori makai to paneer etc... A variety to choose from, for your specific taste needs.Main course is also quite decent. After a good starters, there isn't much space for a good main course and they have justified the same quite well. A good combination of desserts as well.A good management for your needs, very co operative, approachable, helpful staff. I would say, a total value for money Would recommend their Phirni. A must try!

Go for the ambience

The one thing that beholds your attention here is the wild dining theme, complete with tress, branches, wooden tables etc. You are literally transported to a dense jungle. The service is very swift. The buffet not so good. The desserts are exemplary. The best part of the buffet. Do try the phirni, its out of this world.

Contrary to the name, decor is not the highlight. Focus on the yummy food

Wild Dining is housed in an almost vacant Shopping Center. However, that should not be a deterrent. Step inside and it is a completely different world. The entire place is quite dimly lit but there is enough light focused on your table so you get to know what are you eating. While were seated, once they had this run of jungle sounds from across the area, quite interesting.

The service is quite prompt with different people whisking by your table getting a variety of starters. The chinese variants in chicken were a delight as was fish koliwada. They did serve a kebab and chicken tangdi but somehow i was hooked to the chinese starters. The veg variety was quite good too ranging from cheese tikki, roasted corn, paneer tikka etc.

From what we read about the highly rated Nachos, they were a let down for both me and my wife. Pasta wasn't great either.

The main course was very traditional and suited our tastebuds to the core. Among veg, we had dal makhani, paneer subzi, sarson ka saag. Chicken curry, mutton sukka and fish chilly in the non veg spread. The mutton was succulent and took my breath away when i had it with makai ki roti. Had a bigger tummy, i probably would have downed another couple of rotis. While the biryani was quite tempting, a full stomach stopped me from moving in that direction.

We kept it simple in the dessert section by making a generous helping of the orange souffle and ice creams. However, gulab jamuns and the mango cake were good too.

I was quite impressed with the service as everyone was willing to help. If you did not sopt your steward, you could approach anyone for another helping of any foodstuff you may want.

Wild Dining certainly receives a thumbs up from me. However, food and service remained the highlight for me.

This is one of the best buffet places too and has something for everyone. loved all the startes, chicken dishes were especially good even though I usually am not a big fan, veg starters were awesome too, in main course loved fish chilly and veg gravy. In dessert, loved the mango ice cream. Amazing service!

Just A One time Expirince

Had gone through several reviews and Hypes just Decided To give a Try for this Buffet.
As said ambience is Truely Wild and innovative as well as the Music which starts at 9 O clock is too good to experience. But they are missing few basic things Such as No water in Washroom and unclean and untidy crockery which is not at all accepted at a Buffet Restaurant.
Coming to food Chat and Side dishes are Okay to have.
Soup really Suckssss (Yes I Really mean it and both the soup Veg and Non veg) It is nothing but tasteless Hot water.
Starters are something which is extremely lower than average or something, Yes I mean it. Be it chicken Lollipop and not Drums of Heaven To be very specific, Chicken or Mutton sig kabab. Nothing tastes fresh. Paneer kabab or Veg Chilly were ready to serve and strictly average. Main course we're noyhing such to Describe.
Coming to deserts nothing were matching The food quality of a good Restaurant including goolab jamun, Fondue or Kheer.
The horrible experience were of Ice cream which was of cheapest quality ever I have seen.

Honestly saying this place is quite Fine for its Setup.
It is not reaching the mark of a Buffet spread restaurant.
