Decent Food

The restaurant is located nearMithibai college and they do have vallet parking. We used the groupon deal for two Thalis costing about 500 which is a real good deal..Puranmals gave us a perfect setting. It is spacious, well-lit and comfortable. veg. Lahori. It was a rich gravy with veg dumplings - very, very tasty. I love their paneer chilly dry..The paneer parathas can also be tried and are quite filling.

Great Ambiance but Poor Food

If you are a kind of person who checks out the ambiance more and just nibbles down your food then this is a must visit place for you. Though this hotel is situated in a small space, it has marked wonders by creating a huge room to accommodate its guests. These people also provide a system of valet parking and create an amazing atmosphere around you for an elegant date or a dinner. Situated into the busiest area of Vile Parle West, this hotel is magnificently beautiful for its facade as well as for its interiors. But that is the only thing to be enjoyed out there since I personally had a very bad experience with their food. Their food doesn’t match up to their standards. Pleasing atmosphere and good service is what you end up paying for.

This restaurant is one of my favourites. Right from the ambience to the service and food- everything is just right. I have been there about four times and enjoyed the different types of food items- be it starters, main course or even just chaat. My friends and I spent close to three hours just sitting and chatting there with no botheration from the staff. They were polite and friendly. Would love to keep going to Puranmal.

Nice Ambience Average Food

The hotel has a nice ambience and the staff is friendly .
The food though is average and not very expensive.
Worth a visit maybe only once not more especially when there are many cheaper and tastier eating options close by

Dear friends, this one of faltu restaurant. I never been like such pathetic restaurent in my life. Few major points
1) no variety of food
2) lake of staff
3) manners less staff
4) a.c. cooling is not there
5) a long wait for table

Now as i mentioned above we are going in restaurant for good food & diff. Veritey but guys i dissapointed here first they don't veritey & second they dont have good food also. Dal tadka was taste less, paneer makhan wala is so sweet, and rice are also not well cooked. And for this type of food i have to waite for 40 mins. I called one of them senior authority person ther to give my suggestion for lake of staff, he appologies also for that but after that also no change in them. And their staff have no manners also they were fighting front of us for their jobs, ooohh man every one looked at them & beleive me no senior person came there to stop them they faught for 15 mis. There i felt like i am @ food stall on street, it was embarrassing. And on this pethetic rest. A.c. was not working also. There is a a.c. unit but i think that is for show only. And for this waste of time & waste of money we wait for 1hrs.15 mins. Yes you read it right. Now ask your self are ready for this specially if on occasion of your love one. I went to celebrate my mom's b'day there. And we are so disappointed with this experiance. Pls dont go guys

i heard a lot about this place but i must say it's the food is mediocre , the kufli falooda was not at all good . the chaat's are good. wouldn't specially go there again . service needs attention

not at all upto the expectations..!!

I had called for food the other day from here...and very simple food like a paneer dish and one dal makhani and some masala kulchas....the dal makhnai was no where near the real taste of a dal...and the "masala" kulchas were stuffed with jus simple boiled peas and cabbage...utter disappointment..!!

NIce !!!

Been there for Lunch, had an amazing experience. The ambiance is perfect, nice comfortable cushions & with tables evenly spaced so it doesnt feel too congested. The menu consists of chaats, indian, oriental & continental, although not much variety is on display in each, so you have little to choose from. We decided to go for indian as it was lunch time and the food was perfect as per my taste. I was actually surprised how well the "bhuni arbi ka subz" was prepared, dont get that good even at my home. They have an extensive dessert menu, Go Try it for Once.

Total expense for 5 ppl: 1250 Rs ( :O WHAT A STEALL !!!!!)

I ll take away a star from the rating so that they expand their delicious Menu !!!

Any time perfect 4 mind blowing Exp.

A real treat for vegetarians!

Puranmal is a vegetarian restaurant and it has replaced Rasraj, near Mithibai. Let me directly get down to the main points.

Ambience: 5/5
Food: 5/5
Service: 4/5
Damage: Rs 1,200/- for 4 people

I had gone to this place to visit Rasraj with my family, since they pretty much liked Rasraj. But, we had no idea that Rasraj had shut down and it was replaced by Puranmal. So, after thinking in the car for sometime, we decided to check it out. As soon as we entered, I was shocked. The ambience was fabulous, and as compared to its previous occupant the place looks heaven.
There were a 5-6 staff at the lobby(entrance), so it becomes quite difficult to understand who's the maitre d'. But, they all tend to work in perfect synchronization to attend to the guests. After like 10 minutes, we got a table. Oh, while you await your table, you can check out the "mithai" section and also the chaat section.
We ordered dum aloo, lasooni palak, 8-10 different rotis for 4 people, and 1 dal tadka. The food was really delicious, and the quantity was okay. The only problem we faced, was the time taken to get the order. It took a little longer than expected. Also, the waiter forgot to place the order for the second vegetable, so it took some more time to come.
So, a little attention on the service, they can pretty much become one of the best places for vegetarians in Mumbai And also, they serve, Chinese, Italian, South Indian, Chaats, and authentic Indian sweets. So, next time probably for some other cuisine.
