Decent for the area

Okay if anyone has read my Bandra review for Red Box, they would know I do not like the place. The food and music are kind of bad. But in a place like Bandra where Red Box can easily be given a miss, I don't think MIDC has any other choice. With the only good places being a 10 minute ride away in Powai or Saki Naka, they have managed to put up a decent enough watering hole to quench the thirsts of the people of the area.
We were in for a late-night eat at around 11.15 pm and we somehow landed up in the area. Fortunately, Red Box had a bit of good crowd and kind of good music as well to go with the ambiance (which is far better than its Bandra counterpart). I really wanted to have fondue so we got a Chicken Cheese Fondue which was delivered to us pretty quickly along with the bread. The chicken was good and the cheese was kind of decent. Not as good as Out of the Blue, but passable. We then ordered for a chocolate truffle pastry which was not so good. Give the desserts a miss.
As usual, the overpriced Red Box manages to place a stronghold in the Bombay pub scene. And why should it not especially in places like these that actually need them?

Pathetic home service

Took 3 hours to deliver cold food. When we inquired after an hour Mr Subhash told us he forgot all about our order and promised to deliver in half an hour. Finally after we called ten times the food was delivered. Never again.

Good food and service

We went for an impromptu part. We were 24 of us. We were given a separate zone where we moved tables and danced our legs out. The staff was really supportive. The food is good too. Try Barbecue Paneer for starters. The bar has a great variety too. A good place overall.

Give it a miss

The Red Box Cafe in Andheri (E) was quite empty, which should have been our first clue as to how terrible the food really is. Tried the Fried Cheese Sticks which were passable. The so-called Lebanese Biryani was nothing more than pulao and chicken in satay sauce. Needless to say it destroyed any appetite one had. The only saving grace which could appease the palate somewhat was the Parma chicken.

The service was terrible and the decor loud and uninviting. Needless to say it was a once in a life-time experience.

Great food and ambiance

It was a really great experience tonight. The dinner was delicious and the ambiance was very lively. The menu had a lot of variety. The staff was very polite and courteous and also helped us in guiding how much would be sufficient for us to order. The pasta sizzler, which we ordered, was really innovative and quite tasty too. Definitely worth a visit, and not just once...

visit only to be cheated and embarrased!!

We had vistited the place for a office party...We were around 40 with around 20 people consuming alcohol..Out of the 20, 8 were drinking cocktials and breezers...The party started well but ended with a lot insult and cheating.. The bill came out to 1,50,000 Rupees!! ..The average worked out to 24 pegs per person or two bottles of Black Dog whisky..There were 10 of us having wishky..This happened at around 1 P.M..We tried explaining our stance but we were humiliated and forced to wait...We were also told that the restaurant eas not for middle class people like us..this caused a lot of embarrasment so the top management decided to pay and leave..We have orgainsed many such parites and the cost for something similar at Hawain Shack works out to 70K.. i am not visting this please ever!!

Good food, ok service

Went to redbox at chakala for dinner, was a regular at their bandra outlet. The food was good, but the waiters were not at all attentive. The place was mostly empty but the waiters were busy conversing among themselves. quiet a difference from their bandra outlet in terms of service though the food quality is the same.

Good Food & Music

Went to this place yesterday. The place is much better than its counter-part in Andheri-west. Food gets 4/5 Music gets 5/5 Ambience 4/5 .... To our surprise somehow it had attracted family groups too ... Fondue was excellent !
