My greatest food experience
I am the biggest Fan of Sahibaan , Since the past year i have been visiting the restaurant everyday and till date I have never been disappointed .
i just can't get enough of it.
My personal Favorite is the Lobster Sizzler.
I love the seafood dishes.
And now they even have buffet system , amazing price , amazing quality , amazing service , amazing taste , amazing ambiance ...just amazing!
overall the best experience anyone could ever have in their lives..
Average, but not bad
Was looking for a buffet place, got their number from classifieds & made a booking for 4. I kept asking the person for the address and he kept saying near Om Heera Panna Mall. I'm familiar with that area and I asked if its near Pratap's Wild Dining and the person kept pointing to the mall - sometimes competition can help (at least help your customers reach you)
We opted for the lunch buffet at 571/- Net. Over the phone it seemed like a good spread for the money, and quite a bit of it is true.
It started with their Apple Chicken which was mind-blowing. The Tikkas & Prawns that followed didn't seem fresh. Besides, the menu was stuck up on the table, so I suspect food is carried over to the next day. Their Sahibaan special soup was good. The chaat was pathetic, I'm so sure the imli chutney had gone bad. Pizza was nice and cheesy, but the chicken topping was surely a green tikka they served earlier.
We called for some main-course and they brought the naans first leaving them alone for 15 mins. By the time the Butter Chicken was there, the naans had lost their charm. The Chinese main course was good.
There was plenty of variety for Dessert but all were hopeless. The mousses were just cream, with little taste, so was the brownie & caramel custard. I typically look for good starters & deserts in a buffet, and this one almost had nothing on the other side.
When I asked for the cheque, the person told me that they had a fifth-free offer :( They should've really told me when I booked a table for 4.
WASTE COMPLETE WASTE
RUBBISH..... WASTE OF MONEY & TIME
I went here on Saturday with my entire family for buffet dinner. They served us starters on table... they served just 03 starters which were cold and tasteless, then they asked us to have main course ourselves which were spread out on buffet table. To our surprise, Almost all dishes were empty.... we asked waiters and manager, they asked us to wait for 10 minutes and eventually we waited for 45 minutes..... still there was no Biryani, no gravies, cold roti and butter naan.... nothing to eat in main course.... we gave up and thought... to end up with dessert and leave for home.... Moving to dessert counter.. we were told that they had only chocolate pastries and caramel custard left and rest all were over......... and then they gave us choice to have ice cream of vanilla / strawberry..... I dont understand... if almost everything was over.. then they would have told us NOT to opt for Buffet Dinner.... we already had booking done for this dinner one day before itself..... it was waste of money and time and dead embarrassing for me as i had took my family for dinner..... Now even if its last restaurant on earth.... i would never ever go here....... WASTE..... WASTE ..... WASTE
Best Food Ever
I have been a sahibaan fan for the past 9 years...i have never been disappointed with this place....every time i have been there i get to experience a new thrill...the food is absolutely amazing...i order food at least thrice a week from sahibaan...i suggest everyone should try their sizzlers...my guarantee you wouldn't have tasted any sizzler like it....they got so many branches around the city wherever i go i find sahibaan and i'm loving this...even if i'm alone i still visit this place because it makes me feel so comfortable , the staff , the ambiance are just superb...hats off to the founder
Non-veg heaven.. sizzlers are to die for... food is modestly priced and service is awsome too. Try everything on the menu and that means more than couple of trips... this place is worth going every night..
Took some vegetarian friends the other day, paneer sizzlers rocked it for them.. so rest assured, the best place in town
Non-veg sizzles cost between 135-225 bucks. A meal for four will cost about RS. 400. I'l definitely going there again...and this time i'll try the caramel custard also! It's worth a visit and it'll keep you coming back for more!!
And They have introduced Buffet which is absolutely amazing..Over 70 items and just for Rupess 519...its worth every penny i would suggest everyone to try their food
I went here with my office colleagues for a buffet yesterday and I had a absolutely poor experience.
The food was an absolute letdown. the pastas weren't cooked well. Veg pastas were bland and were given without adding any salt or pepper in it.
there was a veg starter called tandoori aloo which was completely cold and bland when served to us
all the tikkas that were served were hard and without a proper taste.
the main course was just about OK
The service was the worst I have seen in a buffet restaurant. after coming to the place there was hardly anyone coming to the table to give us anything until I followed up 2 times. the pastas and the momos came 15 minutes after asking. when checked why all the people who should be making pasta, momos etc were watching IPL match due to which our food was getting delayed.
one of the cheapest buffets in town. however I wouldn't go there next time.
Terrible Buffet Experience. Completely Avoidable
Well, I hadnt gone to my favourite buffet haunt, Aromas of China, for a long time, and I wanted to gorge on some delectable buffet food. I saw Sahibaan, which I had noticed a week or two ago, and enquired about their buffet. They claimed to have some great spread, and, I thought, it must be explored.
Well, what started as a very curious thought, ended, as a very terrible experience. The starters were decent. But, the maincource was a disaster, just waiting to happen. It reminded me of some very low quality street food, filled with lots of oil and food colour, and a monstrous helping of soda (baking soda). So much so, that, it left my friends and I, absolutely uncomfortable, for quite a while, after our return home (3 days, to be precise). The taste of the main-course was mediocre, if not terrible. The dessert spread was mediocre, as well. The service was quite good.
Would I go there again? Not even if its the last buffet left, in Mumbai? Would I recommend it? Well, if you have over Rs 400/- to spare, and are ok, with suffering from a severe gas problem, for the next 2-3 days, then, go ahead.
No Buffet Layout
We booked a table for our family for "Sunday buffet" and they told us there would be a spread. However when we land there, they told us there was a "buffet menu" and they would serve us everything from that menu on our tables. When asked why there was no layout, they gave some stupid reasons like people prefer on table or servings would be hot etc. Then they said that they would lay the spread in some time if we would wait. The board outside says 70 items on menu and the menu they showed us had around half the number. We just walked out.
cheapest buffet in town (in terms of Money)
I am a regular customer of their buffets but stopped being there for some time.
1. You will not find any buffet cheaper then them in Mumbai .
2. They have a good variety in buffet with moderate quality.
3. I have suggested them to improve their sea food dishes as they smell, I dont know if they are not fresh or so but I have noticed many times that sea food smells.
Also chicken sometimes smells, Please concentrate on quality not quantity.
Also sizzlers were good when I had them for first time after that even that turned down in quality as the sizzlers were very sweet..
Overall good place to have party if there are more people :)
Im sure these reviews are written by some insider..I had been here 1ce & the food was not cooked well..However after many months as our group of pals who didnt visit this place decided 2 try it out,I had to visit this oshiwara joint another tym wth them..I had a v bad experience the second tym also..The food had no taste & some cheap type of desserts were served..I simply got irritated for goin there the second tym..Instead of visiting this place,I recommend Prataps da dhaba/ wild dining buffer /Five spice/Fire bowl which are at the vicinity but dis place is definately not recommended..The price is cheap & accordingly cheap food is served..
Quite affordable for the quality of food
Go to this place if you wish to have Indianized sizzlers; they server too good.
The quantity and the quality is good. Plus they have a sitting area outside with just a roof and open walls; being in a secluded place this does not invite too much noise and you can have a hushed conversation... :)
Service - 4/5
large spread affordable price
Been there last Friday with a group of arnd 20 pax for dinner. The large variety of starters are amazing and so is their chat variety. The papdi chat, dahi puri and shev puri is recommended. They also have live pizza and pasta counters which is good. 10 variety of deserts are very nice. Main course is OK but less choise of variety for VEG people.
We enjoyed the gola variety and the person serving gola would recommend different combinations which was appreciated. They have two types of sitting outside is shamiana type and inside is AC which we preferred due to hot climate. Nice Ambience and overall good food, Must try once and can be enjoyed with large groups.
nice buffet but must have more staff on weekends
had been there twice and good food . nice spread of starters a mix of chinise and tandoori. main course also was good . though dint eat much as i love to fill up in starters only :)
desserts were ok but they really need to up their staff when crowded as there is only 1 guy who runs , between the salad and dessert counter .last i saw him doin the run even to the gola counter .poor guy! hope he gets a double salary .lol
PLACE they have ac and outdoor sittin . i prefer to eat outdoors in the tents .overall good for the rate.
the only prob is to find parking :(
A good place 4 a simple n inexpensive buffet
On a friends reco i happened to visit thi splace on a weekend.. They have a all day buffet concept ( ala-carte is an option as well) .. I happened to try the buffet which was decently priced..They had a range of starters to offer which were good....A limited selection of main course though...The pasta n Sadwich counter is a must try.... They also happen to have a chat counter....Papdi chat is recommended... The only turn off for this buffet were the deserts...Dont go by the appereance they have...I haapened to eat a black forest ckae ( with banana inside)...horrid... Cheese cake was the worst part... But they did happen to have Falooda n kulfi counter..which helped me survived.....A decent price of 400/- on a weekend...
I had been here this xmas for the buffet..The mutton & chicken was so hard..Prawns not cooked well..Desserts hav no taste..When u enter in they put up a small display.. 4 shots of dessert for 100/-..dat worked out 2 be 25/- per dessert..it should have struck me wat quality il get for that amount..Overall a bad experience..
Excellent food and VFM
Went to Sahibaan last Saturday for a friend's birthday treat, it was a dinner buffet. Awesome spread of food and at very VFM prices. 350 and 400 for all-inclusive lunch and dinner buffets respectively. Also, they are running a promotion - if four people eat the buffet they pay for only three! Marvelous. The spread there is awesome. Keeping in mind the legacy of Bandra and other branches all-over Mumbai, they have maintained the quality. They also have a mix set-up ambience. Inside, air-conditioned, is typical Sahibaan. Outside, they have two kinds of seating, one is regular chairs and tables and then they have Shamiana style sitting like Koylas. It's a perfect place for families and friends to dine and shall I say the best setup of any Sahibaan ever. Location is a little dicey but once you enter, you will forget about the location.
Coming back to the spread, they have 2 chicken tikka starters (tenderly delicious) and 1 fish (fresh and well made) n 1 chicken (crunchy and nice sauce) in oriental style. For veggies the surprising omission was paneer. Cmon guys you need to have paneer in the spread!!!! Veggies had fried aloo tikki kebab which was melting the mouth types, mushroom in some oriental sauce nice n easy and veg crispy schezwan which was again nice. there was also soups, a few salads and even sev puri and stuff!!!! oh i forgot there was even a veg pizza and a chicken pizza both of which was nice n tasty.
Oh yeah also there was veg n chicken dimsums which were very very yummy!!!!
moving to the main course which v barely had as we were stuffed wid the above starters there was a veg fried rice and veg noodles and along with that there was prawns in yummy red sauce and fish in some black sauce guess it was oyster both of which were nice. for the veggies there were a few gravies but did not check. in fact there was even a few indian dishes in the mains. we were so stuffed then we did not even look at them
desserts: there were about 5-6 nice desserts from the choclate gnash pastry, choclate pastry, choc mousse in a small cute glass, blueberry pastry and an indian dessert. all were very nice and yum.
Look it's taken me about 15minutes to write the review so imagine how much we would have consumed having all of the above...lol
Overall i rate the place 9/10. The 1 mark i take away is because of the interior location and also coz they dont serve anything complimentary like a cold drink or fresh lime coz after such a heavy meal the areated beverages are a must. Summing it up Sahibaan is out there to satisfy all our hunger with quality food, great spread at VFM pricing. Must must visit!!!!! Perfect for big groups parties coz it's so damn reasonable!!!!!!
As we were Fan of its other outlets in bandra, worli etc because their oriental dishes are outstanding.. Anyways going with the past fame we decided to give this outlet a try and we were well greeted it was a weekday we choose to go with buffet lunch. As it was hot we sit inside and buffet dishes were served all on our table. Service was outstanding with good food. The Indian dishes were not that upto its mark but as usual oriental dishes were gr8 as always.. All in all nice experience
Must Visit in the Evening time
i just happened to visit along with few friend for Dinner, We didnt wanted to go to wild dining and was not sure about this place, but it was nice ambience, childern loved this place, they have some fogg machine in open and cosy plastic tent for family or group, we loved it, cosy lighting, atmosphere was cool due to ocassional spray of fog. and yes food was fresh and good, they have chinese thali ( first time i heard this) which was available in lunch only, on request they served us at dinner time, nice and afforeable, with moderate quantity. surely will visit again ..
