Nice Place for a quick bite

The food here is ok ok like any other veg restaurant. The ambiance is decent for a quick lunch. The staff here is friendly and they are quick at taking orders. Very attentive.
Price is decent., not too expensive.
The pav bhaji is amazing and so are the south dishes. Must try.

Always satisfies the urge to eat South Indian

So it's a shivsagar......one of like 50 in the city.
It doesn't stand out or anything...but it never disappoints

The food here is good ....south indian being the best. Dosas idli the primary staple things

Followed by pavbhaji which is also a classic out here.
They now also serve North Indian and Chinese.

Have tried both and I'd say u could give Chinese a miss.
North Indian is good.

Service is pretty fast and efficient.

Yummy pav bhaji..!

I always go to this place for its pav bhaji.. It's so yummy .. It's d best one compared to other fast food chains. It's quite a small eating joint... As it a no fuss fast food place ... So u can't expect much other than fast service, reasonable pricing n good food. They were located at 16 th road before but have now moved to SV Road, Khar.

Id go there again

Speaking totally from my own experience I think this place is good. Well priced, good portion size and the staff on all three occasions have been very friendly and attentive.
Its disheartening to see people treat the waiters rather badly, but I have always found them to be only too willing to help and if one makes an effort to talk to them they will find that they are nice people.

I think their Sambhar is DELICIOUS...my hubby always orders for the Uttapa...and they ALWAYS give us a second bowl of Sambhar complimentary, as they know im a fan! Being there only 3 times and for them to know me I found quite impressive!

The worst thing on the menu so far were the fries....it was pathetic...but when we told the staff they offered a reasonable explanation...they only thing which was disappointing was that if they KNEW it was not up to standard they should never have served it to the guest.

All in all, I would say this place is good if you take it for what it is and dont hold tooo many high expectations or preconceived ideas of the place.

Would I go back? Yes, most definitely!

Very Bad Pathetic Hopeless Service

It takes around 2 hrs to reach an delivery order of dal khichdi.....
So you can imagine how much good service they have.
while following up on order saying that it already 1 hour how much more time it will take. on this they say it will further take time if possible please come and collect your order......VERY BAD PATHETIC HOPELESS SERVICE SHIV SAGAR BANDRA WEST

South Indian delight!

Right opposite HnT, this place is extremely popular and offers the best south indian food. The Idli Sambhar and the Dosas are simply amazing. It is slightly overpriced and that's the only drawback. It has an outdoor as well as indoor section.
I've been here a million times and it's ideal for a quick snack.

A good menu come at great cost.

Overtly costly. too less quantity. f**k all service. Pathetic home delivery. Food is tasty but comes at a great cost.
Me and my friend had two pavbhaji and some extra pav. the pocket got lighter buy Rs 200.

Cannot really comment on whether its a good place to hangout, but can have quick bite like any other udipi joint but u need patience, because a normal dosa can make u wait for twenty minutes. and its not because of the rush it has but its similar for any early Wednesday morning.

One the whole it can be very good landmark to meet out side. but there are plenty of other options nearby, so avoid Shiv Sagar if u r in a hurry.

Bad Delivery

Of late the delivery and the Food Quality is deteriorating during Lunch. On 1 particular occasion the food was delivered more than 90 minutes late.. i had no option but to return it back.. though i was ready to accept the juice..but i was denied.
On top of it when i was ordering the next time i was questioned about the incidence and denied delivery.. iw s told to send my person if i want food.....ridiculous

Very Tasty

I am a South Indian food freak, and in Bandra there isn't anyone better to get clean, good quality food, like these guys do.

Alright like another reviewer mentioned earlier, their North Indian cuisine is priced high, and isn't up to the mark, quality-wise.

Nothing beats their Pav Bhaji though, and if you like sambar, as much as I love it, then you will not be disappointed with the sambar here, it still ventures towards the "Mumbai" style of being a little sweet, but if you like sambar you should definately try this place out once.

You will come back when you are next in the area and are looking for a quick bite to eat.

Note: As I have known for quite some time now, when on the run in Mumbai and want a quick bite to eat, hop into an Udipi or your closest Shiv Sagar, and order an Idli-Sambar, it will get to you very quickly, and is by and far a healthier option to a couple of vada pavs.

Best Fast Food

The best fast food restaurant i have ever had.
Anything you order on the menu is served fresh / quality of the food is probably one of the best in Mumbai.
As it's known for it's pav bhaji you should try the dosas and the indian food here as well.

A regular lunch spot, a must try if you are in bandra :)

Superb Food

The Pav Bhaji here is awesome. I could survive on it for the rest of my life if I had to.

The other "Indian" food, is only very slightly expensive. Actually, its not "expensive" per se, but you are a Pali Naka - Bandra Dweller, you can get a better, cheaper Roti Sabzi Dal Deal at Junta or Jai Hind which is very nearby.

But nothing beats Shiv Sagar when it comes to Pav Bhaji or South Indian shit!

Loved the sambar

Good crisp dosas and masala dosas. Tasty side dishes like coconut chutney and sambar. Beware of rava dosas - better to have it there itself than having it parcelled.
