rude rude rude
Freaking rude guy on the phone for home delivery... He went into a hissy fit because they couldn't deliver. Absolutely uncalled for behaviour. He was literally foaming at the mouth. Haven't been there but probably won't .. If they cant talk properly on the phone don't expect the service to be any better..
Great food, warm owners
Contrary to the other reviewr's experience, my own experience with the owners has been warm and courteous. I have been a regular here for more than a year and I find the food homely and the owners ever eager to customize it (like with lesser oil or spice, etc). Overall I still give the place a 4 star rating. Cheers

thank u soo much for such positive remarks..it means a lot to us..please reveal yr identity when u come over..thanks again..
Pathetic service with arrogance from owners..!!
Although the place serves decent (and, not more) and over-expensive food, the service and the arrogance are the major put-offs. So-called Directors (owners) of this place will frown upon if thali or a regular veg is ordered! Waiters are much more humble (while serving) than the owners (while taking the order). Last visit experience was the worst for the entire group (waiting time for almost 45 mins and arrogance from owners - 'again' and then no apologetic behaviour from the owners. And, hence, a lesson not to visit the place ever again. Other good places in the same lane will serve better purpose, I suggest to all. Else, at your own peril!

Thank you for the acknowledgement but such nice words not coming from the actual offender shows the sheer arrogance! So, to all readers, as SRK had quipped very recently, whenevr he feels too arrogant about himself, he takes a trip to the USA and whenevr any of you feel the same about yourself, now you know where to head to..:)!!
And, Sir, you still haven't accepted the 'arrogance' behaviour yet! You do it and we may consider visiting the place again. Here's your chance!

sorry... we dont serve hookah..
We saw a lot of good reviews about this place and so decided to go for sunday lunch but disappointment started with the entrance of the place. Look like you are entering into some grey shaded restaurant. However we thought that all good reviews would be about food not the ambiance so we went ahead and ordered 'Sarson da saag & Makkie di roti' based on following good reviews and big big disappointment.
Not good ambiance, no good food(the only spice you can feel was mirchi and that was way more then what is expected) and really poor service.
Our experience does not match at all with any of the following (good) reviews. Not recommended at all.
ghar ka khanna
What an absolute gem of a place. This is the second time i am coming here and has been a delight This homely looking place serves what one might call ghar-ka-khana. The operation run by a husband/wife duo is quick, efficient and most importantly very hygienic. will keep coming back..
best panju food eaten recently.
dont get misguided by their name, working at T.c.s.at andheri,i found this place to have a lot of food varieties other than their famous tava parathas, rajma chawal,chole-bhature,sarson da saag, they also serve good chinese food.I've added it to my favorites and highly recommended it.
We 4 friends went to try this restaurant after reading good reviews from Burrp and zomato.Being a sunday night, we expected good crowd. To our surprise, we were the only ones there!
Anyways, our concern was good food so the above did not matter. We were 2 non vegetarian and 2 vegetarian guys.
Quite slow. Even though we were the only ones, food took quite a long time.
Ordered 2 Aam Pannas. Though the taste was good, it was not refreshing and authnetic. But it was OK.
Chicken Satay- Quite good. Essentially chicken in Besan. Tasted good.
Veg Crispy- The quantity was good, but the taste was not at all good. With no taste and full of oil, it was a shocking experience as we were expecting quite a lot from this place. Anyways, still expecting, we ordered the main course.
Chicken Kadhai- Not that awesome. Less of chicken and more of capsicum. Just OK.
Punjabi Chhole- A bigger disappointment. Me being a punjabi, just totally disliked them.
Dhaniya Parantha/Aloo Parantha were also OK. It tasted like the dough was not fresh. Again disappointed.
Cheese/Onion Paratha- No salt in them. Also disappointing.
After this we were in no position to try anything else as we were very disappointed. Seriously, will never come back again
690 for 4 people. Not expensive but not worth that also.
Verdict: We went to try something good. But came back disappointed. Not recommended
Big suprise come in small packages.
Ok so here we go me and my office friend had decided to visit this place after reading the reviews. First we decided to have some drinks nereby and visit this place but we couldnt find one. After reaching Akruti center we called the resto num and the person was helpful in showing us the way. It is a tiny small resto ..a home turned in a resto i guess. The hospitality was so good and also the suggestion made by deepakji was quite good.
Food-We ordered Chicken lollypop in szchewan sauce gravy based.it was quite spicy and the pieces used were quite big....For the main course we ordered Parathas Daniya,Cheese,Paneer and Mutter.all were really amazing like homemade. We also ordered Sczhewan Dal very different and you cannot find this anywhere in mumbai i guess. It was really gud and different. We had also ordered Chicken afgani and gravy had capsicum in it which i didnt like because it didnt match the gravy.Overall it was gud...
Desserts--OMG the Kulfi's served here are the best. we had Kaju kismish kulfi which was ausome and i wud definately go there again for the kulfi. The Kesar pista was not as gud as the kaju one.
Overall the experience was quite good and the Kulfi's were just AUSOME..Thumbs up/////
Hope these guys open their branch in malad.
Why did I not hear about this place earlier!?
Hot Thursday afternoon and I was in absolutely no mood to have food at the office cafeteria. A couple of colleagues (also on burrp) have been talking about Sizzling bites for a while now and they asked me if I would like to join them for lunch. Long story short, we reached that place after a 15 minute rickshaw ride.
Imagine this: Old (25 years atleast) rickety residential building. Short flight of almost-broken stairs. Minimal lighting. An old-fashioned house door. Push the dorr away from you and first thing you have on your mind is 'WHAT THE HELL?'. This is actually a house-turned-into-restaurant sorts. Small L-shaped passage filled with tables and chairs packed tightly and there are a bunch of office-goers literally going at-it with the food. The fragrance is absolutely overwhelming. This place is run by a family and they serve home-cooked meals, albeit ala-carte. Dull-pink and orange colored walls, with dim lights hanging from the ceiling made me a little uncomfortable. Semi-open kitchen and I could see black smoke all over the place (thankfully not in the dining area)
Slowish. Probably because we got a table in the middle of lunch hours and the nice lady was busy attending to customers. An under-aged kid sets your table with plates, spoons/forks, onions, pickle and the rest and the nice lady takes your orders. She is the owner here and it's best you tell her what exactly you want to eat. Let her recommend the dish. We did just that and boy were we in for a treat!. You can expect your food to be on your table about 12-15 minutes after you order.
Ok, here comes the good part. We called for a Chicken Fried Satay for starters and it was essentially chicken pakodas on a really long toothpick. It was heavenly. Perfect amount of spice and the chicken was so tender, I thought they culled the chicken just after we ordered for it. Served with a custom schezwan sauce and the 4 chicken sticks disappeared in less than 10 minutes. Good start to the meal. We were unable to decide on the gravy we wanted to have for main course and the nice lady herself recommended Chicken Patiyala and she said 'trust me, have that'. Decision was made. Medium-sized boneless chicken chunks in spicy brown gravy. We called for Lachha parathas to go with it and the food took about 15 minutes to come to our table. And boy did we gobble it down quick! We also called for Dhaniya (coriander) Parathas which really do not need anything to be had with it and if eaten with mango pickle, Y-U-M. Next came the Chicken Biryani in a really unique looking pot with a lid. Open the lid and the aroma of the biryani garnished with fresh coriander was absolutely heavenly. That got gobbled down in 10 minutes too. We really should've called for their boondi raita to go along with the biryani, but we were so full, we really did not want to. To end lunch, a Malai Kulfi was ordered for and the lady looked at my colleague who visits this place often and said 'Everytime you have that, now try the Kaju-Kishmish (Cashew-Raisin) Kulfi. We really could not say no to that. And really, the Kaju-Kishmish Kulfi was a whole lot better than the plain Malai Kulfi. All in all, probably one of the most satisfying meals I've had.
With the total cost of 660 bucks, 3 of us (with 2 having huge appetites), were absolutely full. That, and the fact that they accept Sodexho meal passes, made it a very very sweet deal.
The food was definitely worth the money and the experience of visiting a restaurant run by a family, and a really nice family at that, was just great. They can surely expect me to visit them a lot more often, and would highly recommend the food here.
Definitely a 5/5 here and yes, this place is Burrp Certified too!
Great folks, great food!!!
I've been eating here for the past 2 weeks now and I'm starting to like even more and more. First off, if you are from Saddi Dilli(like me), then you are going to get reminded of home at this place the moment you put in that first nibble of food in your mouth be it Chinese or Indian. These guys have got not just culinary talent but also amazing hospitality. While you enjoy your food, you will get blown away by the host's unending effort to make sure you are having a good meal. Kudos!!! Chak De Phatte!!! great job guys !!!!!!!!! :D
Food, Just like Home!!
From the outside, on the first look of this place in the corner of a building, I was contemplating if I should even go in. But the place is not bad at all. The hospitality is very good, its run by nice people. and The food is mind blowing. Really nice tasty, healthy, food that tastes like home. Its not expensive at all and they except sudexos!! Awesome. Will be going here more often :) Food is 5 star!!!!

A gr8 place to enjoy your food
Went there on the basis of a recommendation from one of the colleagues. The place is famous for its parathas.. but even if you try other cuisines (north Indian, Chineese or Hyderabadi), the food tastes gr8. But more than the taste of the food, it is the warmth of the owner, Mr. Deepak who serves the food with great smile and warmth..We like the place so much that we have started going there on weekends as well although it is a bit far from our area of residence.. Truly, eating there has been the most pleasant experience of eating in Mumbai..
hoping for a continued gr8 service and a branch near my residence :)

Hello Mr kabra, thanks for visiting Sizzling Bites and for appreciating our food, service and warmth.Appreciating our food which I personally feel is the most important factor for any restaurant and I feel good that we have been able to satisfy most of the food lovers so far and will keep on trying our level best in future also
Thanks again for spreading the good word around and look forward to your next visit.
Amazing Food at an Amazing Price
I went with colleagues to eat there after finding out about this place on burrp. We ordered a chinese chicken platter, dal tadka and opted for the food combo's of chicken kholapuri, butter chicken and dhaniya parathas. Topping the meal off with butter milk and gajar halwa the bill still came to only just 600 bucks. The food was superb and I highly recommend people to give it a try :)
amazing food .
visited this restaurant for the third time and believe me always come out praising it.we tried their parathas which were truly divine.tried their paneer, aloo, cheese parathas .they were served with chole which were very very Delhi style..also serve ckn parathas but could not eat as it was tuesday..will visit again.
Good and innovative food
Just wanted to try something different in andheri east side, i was searching for some restaurants in the area when i read reviews about this place, so thought of giving it a try. First of all it was very difficult for us to locate the place, but once we reached there we were more surprised as it was like something that we never expected. A very small place with a small seating capacity. the owner being very friendly to us suggested us some dishes which turns out awesome.
Must try : chicken lolypop main course, culfi and pudhina paratha

Sizzling bites, Sizzling service :)
If you have been to this place, you will agree that the tongue goes sluuuuurping at the mention of this place.. :)
The stuffed paranthas, esp the chicken parantha, is awesome. The Rajma didn't taste to me like the typical Punjabi one, but I'll highly recommend it..It's bherry bherry tasty!!!
Both Chinese and Indian Prep are good .. The chicken is soft and Juicy..
Highly impressed by their home delivery. Phone call is attended by polite people who know their business and give you the "Customer is God" treatment...
It's a TREAT which doesn't make your wallet much lighter :)

thank you mam for your wonderful comments.this keep us charged up.looking forward to serve u with a smile.
as i entered their first floor joint,i got to see a lot of office crowd enjoying their meals.as i had come with my three friends i had to wait for 5 mins as it was full.as we gulped our combos which i highly recomend, we went for some kulfi desserts. their choco almond kulfis are heaven.also try their malai and kaju draksh kulfis. small place but truely satisfying place. will defi come back.
I happened to spot the big hoarding of sizzling bite and kept wondering where is this joint with such an interesting name and decided to follow the 'white rabbit' -yes the hoarding. Till I opened the door and asked if the restaurant was open, I wasn't sure if I have reached the right place. A smiling young lady greeted me and welcomed me into a very cozy looking place with soft music and few executives enjoying the food. I asked for a table for 1 and was well guided through the food and the new items on their card. As it was my first time, I thought of sticking on to my all time favorite-Pav Bhaji and I tell you it was such a yummy one. I washed it down with panna(a raw mango drink) which again was so refreshing. I felt at ease during the time I was there. I left with a feeling of being in a lovely ambience, well taken care of and with a longing to come back and check out the other stuff on their menu like the Oh hyderabad(thats their hyd cuisine), Oh china(the chinese cuisine) and also look forward to spend a quiet evening with a friend sipping on to their ice tea. A well recommended place for an office time lunch while you chat up with old friends in the midst of a hectic day.
