Good Indianized food
Srinathji was once my preferred place for regular dinners. I used to like the great taste they managed along with the simplicity of place. Then, somehow, it dropped of my radar and my visit here last month was after a really long gap. As always there was a queue and we had to wait for about 20 minutes before we could get a table. Went for the Mexican sizzler which was fragrant rice topped with beans, salsa, nachos and cheese served on a sizzling platter with sautéed veggies. The preparation was totally Indianized and could easily pass off as an Indian comfort food. The service was quick and efficient.
Picked up some farsaan, bread, sweets and pastries on the way out. Frankly, the khakra here is one of the best. The pastries, however, were not too impressive. My recommendation is to always pick up some khakra whenever one visits the place.
One minor issue was that even though we were higher up on the wait list, a large group was given preference over us in seating. Did not mind it much as our table was readied within 5 minutes of the same but the incident surely was a letdown in service terms.
Delicious Veg. Vaishnav food (no onion, garlic)
I work at mindspace & Link Road has multiple options for lunch. I love onion & garlic so was skeptical to go to this place; however I found the food to be vary tasty & did not really miss out on garlic & onion. I love their Zuppa de Spinaca (Spinach Soup). They have some good main course veg. gravy & also some international cuisine dishes like hummus, falafel, sizzler, pasta, pizza, lasagna etc. I recommend to stick with the Indian cuisine while here. The deserts are appetizing & we have ordered 5+ KG cakes on multiple occasions for our office team party.
Must visit for vegetarian vaishnav food.
Jain Food, Veg Food - Food without Onion & Garlic. Been here with family once. Very pure. Small restaurant on Link Road. Food is very nice and you dont miss onion & garlic in the food. They use potatoes means not a pure pure jain restaurant. Food of all cuisines is good. Reasonably priced and value for money. Being a jain restaurant, the crowd is limited and normally no waiting. Service is very good. It has a bakery inside too and cakes and pastries are very nice. Highly recommended.
Try if you can eat food without onion
can go once
The one thing that sets this eatery apart from others on the business is its stark purity. Everything about this place, right from the ambiance to the menu, y the food as well reflect a unique sense of pride and satisfaction that only such vegetarian delight can offer.
Very Good Veg Food
Another restaurant I got introduced to because of its proximity to my previous employer. It is named after Lord Srinathji, an incarnation of Lord Sri Krishna, whose temple is located at Nathdwara in Rajasthan.
Srinathjis serves Vaishnav cuisine; the food is prepared without Onions and Garlic. Yes, you read it right WITHOUT ONIONS and GARLIC and if I am not mistaken the first preparation is offered to the Lord Srinathji as Bhog / Prasad.
It is different from Jain cuisine in a way that Jains have a lot more restrictions in food like they do not eat Potatoes or anything that is cultivated below the ground etc.
They have a variety of cuisines to offer Indian / Italian / Lebanese. Anything you order from the Starters / Main Course / Desserts is guaranteed to taste good. The food is so amazing that you really dont seem to mind the absence of Onions and Garlic.
I tried the Paneer Pahadi, Veg Handi, Dal Tadka, Paratha and Jeera Rice. For Desserts, we had Gulab Jamun and Matka Rabdi. The price may be slightly on the higher side but the food they serve it is justified.
The service is quick and the ambience is decent and bent on the spiritual side.
They live up to their tagline, TASTE THE NECTAR.
PS: Their cakes are also good.
Good Place..Must Visit..:)
Food is very good, mexican pasta was amazing and pahadi paneer was prepared Delicious .
Food of all types are very good.(eve south indian)
we had been there 4 to 5 times,
I always prefer it.the salad they give with lemon and pickles is also very tasty.
if little bit sitting arrangement would be changed than it would be amazing.
Good Spot for Veg stuff
My Wife had been there along with my son for some birthday Party. She liked the food & liked their concept of making special menu for kids; they had some mini golden coins, thin crust Pizza, Dosa, some sort of starter. All the kids went crazy over the pizza. This is when my wife told me that we should visit this place once to try their normal menu for dinner. So on a Saturday, we reached there at about 8:30PM & luckily they didnt have waiting. But people started pouring in after 9PM. I thought it would be full on weekends considering that this is a 100% Veg restaurant & a hot spot for all Jains (preparation done without Onion & garlic) ) in Malad. Easy to locate on the Link Road bang next to the Hanuman Mandir which is very famous. Parking is an issue here since this restaurant is on the main road which is mostly having traffic during peak hours.
About the Food, We obviously had to order a Pizza, since my son had loved it a lot the other day. I order "All in One Pasta" & a sizzling Paneer Chilly" starter along with it. They served fair portions and the taste was good. We were full so we didnt try any pastries/desserts. But instead went in for a watermelon juice. The presentation was very well done, the best part was a little paper umbrella poked on a big piece of watermelon on the glass. My son took about almost 10-15 photos of that before allowing us to drink it.
Value for money 8/10
Will I go back? Yes, sure.
paradise for jain food
the food in this restaurant is amazing for jain food eaters. they prepare all items without onion and garlic(half jain) in the restaurant and all items in the menu can be also prepared in 100percent jain recipe. food taste is not great but good as they dont use onion garlic, wide variety in selection, ambiance is not that great, service can go bad on holidays
Ok fare - bad service
Visited this place last week.
Let me start with the seating and ambience. Crowided tables - you push your chair back a couple of inches and the guy at the table behind you will land his face in his plate!! And the noise levels are unbelievable - absolute cacophony.
The food was reasonably good - fair portions and good taste. The service was anything but acceptable. Orders take a fair while to arrive. We had asked the wiater what choices they had in milkshakes and he suggested a sitaphal millshake - we ordered one. 15 minutes later he saunters back and tells us they dont have it. We asked for Vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and the guys reponds "we cannot serve that". On being questioned why and after a fair bit of arguing, he responded that he could get both but we have to pour the syrup ourselves.
All in all, I will need a lot of convincing to go back for a second attemp!!
Not worth a visit.
The restaurent tries to have a wide variety of vegetarian cuisines, and fails in the attempt. Nachos were not like nachos at all. The Punjabi/Mughlai dishes are pretty bad. Found the food to be a little sweet and bland. The worst part was the dessert. The cake was as hard as a rock. Also the ambience was not so great, the waiters were very unprofessional to (kept gossiping amongst themselves).
Not a place for fine-dining. May be ok for a grab.
The restaurant's standard of food quality n presentation r simply brilliant.Really enjoyed variety of Chinese ,Thai n Italian savouries offered here. The pricing is little steep but worth the money.Service should be little improved though but i guess as i went on Sunday der is bound to be little rush.On the whole a good restaurant if u want 2 try some good International Cuisine!
