From hating the hype and the long lines, the Starbucks mania has finally caught up with me. The Earl grey tea isn't so bad (better than most) and the paneer roll (yes, the one that resembles a burger) is almost good. Always, crowded, the spacious outlet located at Horniman circle allows for privacy and relatively noise free conversation. However two separate counters for snacks and drinks and the absence of a menu for the snacks (you actually have to look at the food items at display) are some things that are annoying and need to be changed. Especially when one is spending over Rs.200 for a snack and a cup of tea.
star bucks cafe which is recently opened in India has taken the benchmark for coffee to a higher level. the white chocolate mocha and the java chip frappuccino are some of the best i have had. The murgh kathi wrap was delicious and the fudgy choco chip cookie was absolutely grate.
