Great parathas at good prices!
This is where you can have the real taste of paranthas. All those lovers of Punjabi food, it’s a must visit. I personally love their Plane paranthas with Kaali dal. They have some really vast variety of paranthas. Must have are - Garlic cheese, Plain, Garlic Paneer Cheese, Chilly Paneer pranthas amongst others. It's very light on your pocket and perfect for the ones who want to experience good food at reasonable price.
FOOd is good, servicing is horrible
Horrendous servicing standard, almost leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Even though the food is good, the owner / Manager of SURAS is a absent minded for home delivery orders. From past 15 days we have been ordering home delivery from SURAS and everytime (literally) they deivered us wrong food menu. And to top it they are not even apologetic.
This is a small family run place that I accidentally chanced upon while in the area, which I now make it a point to visit often. It's about 10 minutes away from the popular "Nightingale" dance bar (pronounced colloquially as "night-angle" so that's what you tell the Rickshaw driver if you take an auto), and sometimes I just drive down even if the bar is closed, just to eat here.
The ambiance is very functional, well ventilated, no aircon. Food is served on steel plates.
The Parathas are delicious. They have 50+ types of Parathas! They have a home-made taste to them and agree well with the digestive system. You get Yoghurt, Chutney and Chole for sides usually.
Service is fast & courteous.
The prices are ridiculously low. Each Paratha costs about Rs.30-50. It has quite a following as well, with patrons lining up outside on weekends. I've suggested more than once to the owner that he raise prices, the food really is delicious and as healthy as Parathas come!
Highly recommended, 5 *!
