Love this place.

From the vast number of cafes in the city, this, has the best coffee menu on offer.
Being a regular customer here, I have had the opportunity to try a lot of what's available here(mostly hot coffee's) and everything I have tried, has been amazing.
The cafe is made very nicely and feels warm and comfortable.
Will continue visiting for the amazing coffee choices and quality.

Ecommerce hub

I stopped by at this place for a quick catch-up with friends and felt like we were in the middle of a business conference. We were sitting in the upper section. And what a bad time we had!!!

Here's why....
Every single table had couples seated with some kind of business pitcher who was trying to sell this E commerce deal to them. We were hearing the exact same words, phrases and catch lines from each and every one of them and that too sooo loudly it was extremely irritating.

I'm sure Coffee Bean has tied up with some company that is into this E commerce thing that brings all their fresh bait here to get hooked on but they need to dedicate some part of the restaurant to these guys.... not the entire restaurant.

I would never go to this place again... Maybe except to use the washroom . LOL

One of the best locations for a coffee shop

From my days in Bandra/Khar this used to be a regular choice for coffee anytime between the morning to late nights. The outside seating area is a favourite, otherwise one could look at the top floor, usually full. The location is prime after all, the coffee is good, so the footfalls are high.

Over to the coffee experiences. I'm a coffee person, so I've tried all the hot coffees on their menu. I like the cappuccino, Hazelnut Latte and Americano. If you are into exotic coffees, do check for the pour of the day. I specially like the Vanilla beans they use.

The sandwiches are good, though I haven't had one recently. Desserts are oh so yummy. Try the Banoffee Cake, The Apple Crumble and Warm Chocolate Pie. They are my personal favourites with repeat value. Also tried the dessert of the day: Mocha Millefeuille pastry recently. Tasted a li'l like Mysorepak but hey, you got to try things to get your experiences!

CBTL continues to be one of my favourite coffeeshops in Bandra.

Hopeless place for me.

The staff of the coffee beans is currently hope the person named as Jagdish does not know what to talk to the customer and how to talk to the the customer. He the manager have started abusing the customer. The staffs put in there spit and then serve the coffee stuff and then enjoy seeing the customer drinking. There are no quality checks undertaken by the external regulatory authorities.

No.2 for me

I had a meeting at this place. Was really impressed by the location. It was raining that time, and this place looked like heaven.

The place is nicely done up with a outside seating, which is covered right now and 2 floors. We decided to sit upstairs. We ordered a cappuccino, one more but this with a espresso shot and one Darjeeling tea. The order size was regular.

When the order came, we were surprised by the size. It was more like a large cup then a regular. The taste was decent, however I prefer Gloria Jean's over this!

It was a nice seating arrangement that appeals me to come here again. The coffee is above average, but still no.2 for me.

Finally We have excellent Coffee in Mumbai!

I visited coffee Beans and tea leaf when it was very new and had a meagre crowd but after it gained popularity for its delicious and creamy coffee's this place is always a meeting point for most coffee lovers. the service is quite efficient and the I am in love with their WiFi names.

Expensive but worth it :)

In a place like Mumbai, how many options are there for people low on time jostling for a few moments of relaxation or chilling out with friends/loved ones in congested spaces? Okay, there are the beaches-but they are not everyone's cup of tea (pun intended) and then there is the minor problem of them being littered with roadside romeos dilly dallying with their damsels! Then there are the movie theatres but again, most of them charge 200 plus-that is, for a decent place with decent crowd and half-decent food/snack options. Then there are the bowling places/bars and pubs which are sometimes too noisy and again the price challenge. Then the malls which are fine for the first 5 times but after a while, one does want to sit down someplace nice.

So enter the coffee shops! Sit around for 2-3-4 hours at the price of just 1 coffee :) What can be better than that!

I say CCD wins this battle, because the most college-going-pocket friendly prices are available there. But if you are in mood for some better coffee, a little upgraded ambiance, then this is a pretty good place to chill for a time equivalent to 2 movies at the price of 1 movie ticket :)

I have been here at least 4 times and spent between 2-6 hours at a stretch with nobody bothering us to get lost. There is a seating area outdoors which is the only option available on most evenings when it is rush time. It is also best to sit for hours without even ordering anything! Inside, the ground floor does not have space for more than 12 people while upstairs is more lounge like ambiance with sofas and cushions and a pretty good view of linking road traffic thanks to wall-to-wall glass interiors. It is here that one can see even single people enjoying a cuppa while merrily working on their comp or even reading a book, tucked in a corner, for hours.

I have tasted 4-5 coffees and they have all been good. Yes, a tad expensive but I don't mind paying that much for chilling on a couch for 4 hours while gossiping to my heart's content, once every 2 months :)

White Chocolate Dream and Hazelnut (cold coffee) are superlative as is the Caramel latte. I had a Jasmine Dragon green tea too once and it tasted like poison-which, I found out later, is how all green tea taste like (sad, but true-all good things for our body taste like poison) So it just means they served authentic green tea :) Also, after using the tea pouch, I asked for it to be wrapped in several tissue papers because I wanted to take it home-(I am not a weirdo, green tea is really good for under eye area, so I brought it home, kept it in freezer and used under my eye for refreshing it later!) so yeah, I asked for that to be done and the server happily did that, even though I am sure he must be thinking I am some witch about to do some kaala jaadu on someone using that!

Any place that agrees to 'tissue-wrap' a used green tea pouch for me is a winner in my book :) Also, my friend once had a slice of philadelphia cheese cake and couldn't stop talking about it for another week, so I am guessing pastries here are good too.

Servers are always smiling and attentive. Also, the upstairs area has a small but clean loo which is a plus!

Good Place :)

This place looks great. I quite liked it. I was on the ground floor whereas i wanted to go to the 1st but it was kind of crowded. Had gone with friends a few months back. Ordered the pasta which was okay-ish & the sauce went dry & then it tasted a little stale, I left half of it :/ My friend ordered a vanilla mango frappe or something like that i don't remember the name but it was heavenly. She had 3 of them :P
It was a nice hang out place. Would surely visit again. :)

Coffee - Good, Tea - Not so good!

I've been a fan of their Nariman Point outlet, but this seems to be packed all the time. The location is good and the outdoor seating looks great but it gets very hot. I didn't find the kind of ambiance the other CBTL boasts off.

Service is good and Food tastes more or less the same. Pancakes and Chicken sausages are a hot favorite. Philly Cheesecake are quite nice. Tried the White Chocolate Dream and I loved it! The non-fat milk in it made me feel less guilty of indulgence ;)

A friend of mine tried the Moroccan Mint Iced Tea Latté, and disliked it from the first sip. It was too minty. The prices are on the higher side for a cafe but the usual mocha's and lattés are normally priced.

Rip off

There are enough coffee shops in town to chill at. So I don't think I'll repeat this place. The prices are unbelievably high. The service is lousy and slow. The food and coffee is nothing spectacular, but nothing to complain about. So I would rather pay my money to some other chain.

Great service but average coffee and food

I've been to Coffee Bean and Tea leaf twice now and feel its a really nice place to chill out with friends. They have very comfy decor and the service here is great. But the beverages are your average cafe fare. The coffee is okay nothing great.I tried the Hot Vanilla on my second visit and did not like it much. Also the food menu has more options than a regular cafe but the food is pretty average as well.Pricing is moderate but a little more than what you see at CCD and Barista.I woudn't reccomond eating a meal here but its a good place if you want to hang out with friends over a cup of coffee

A good place to chill and talk!

After spending the afternoon shopping with my best friend, n going thru endless shops, we both were dead and decided to unwind at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf...Hungry an parched we ordered the White Chocolate Dream, Double Dark Chocolate drinks, pasta and a salad...The White Chocolate Dream was to die for. Really yummy, refreshing with that subtle coffee taste. Food was good too...My favorite coffee shop!!

My Afternoon Joint

A place where I have spent most of my afternoons... sipping my hebal teas, and chewing on my favourite greek salad..... one place I don't hesitate to go alone, coffee obviously is great.... vanilla latte rocks and food is always fresh....

Share:

no spice for the price!

I must say it was a let down! I went in with great expectations and the only thing that I really liked were the biscottis.
I must admit that the ambiance of the place is good though. For someone who wishes to spend big bucks to laze around in a nice environment for a long time, albeit with discouragingly pricey and uninspiring beverages - well this is your place in Bandra!

Poor Hygiene

We had been to CBTL and to our complete shock, we found that all the spoons were not washed. Those were used spoon just wiped with tissue. It was really scary for us to imagine the impact on our health. When we went to counter to cross check, all the spoons were used and wiped ones. They did not bother to wash steel spoons before giving with cakes and pastries. The very thought of using used spoons gives 'eeky' feeling everytime we see CBTL outlet

CBTL for a perfect Sunday :)

My idea of a perfect Sunday would be chilling at a coffee shop with my friends & having some hot cappuccino. I went to CBTL with my friends & as usual I had my all time favorite White Chocolate Dream. I have it each & every time I go to CBTL & absolutely love it. It's a 10 on 10 & you just can't miss it!

Excellent coffee, excellent service!!!

Just a sip of their hazelnut ice blended coffee drink was enough for me to become their fan! I went there a few days back with my friends and we all went gaga over the taste of ice blended drinks and their flavors. I have been to so many coffee shops and have tried numerous cold coffees but this was very different and far better than the others. I strongly advise everybody to go and try the ice blended drinks at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.

JUST ANOTHER COFFEE SHOP

I had been wanting to try this place since a long time and finally went there last week, the place offers seating outdoors as well as indoors and the atmosphere is pretty much the same as any coffee shop.
We decided to order two cold coffees, a veg sandwhich, pancakes and chilly cheese toast.
The pancakes didnt taste good at all and tasted like plain omlettes, which was dissapointing.
The cofees were ok actually both the cold coffees we ordered tasted very much the same .
The cheese chilly toast was really good and we enjoyed having that.

AMBIENCE-3/5
SERVICE-3.5/5
FOOD/COFFEE-2.5/5
VALUE FOR MONEY-2.5/5

Its an ok place nothing great ,i found the coffees just as any other coffee shop, the food was average, service is ok and i also found it expensive as compared to other places.

excellent coffee, excellent service

My title pretty much summarizes my last 3 visits to CBTL at Linking Road.

I've always felt that the service is prompt and friendly. the last time i went there i decided the try the decaf herbal tea, they have 3 flavours. I went for Ginseng tea and Peppermint, both were excellent. When my tea went cold, they replaced the hot water :)

The food is very well presented. I tried the Mushroom omlette from the all day breakfast menu. Loved it! The coffees as expected are very good. The hot mocha and cold double chocolate and vanilla latte are highly recommended, and i wana go back and try them when i'm not on a diet.

Loved the cappuccino

I'm writing this review, as I take a sip of a very well made cappuccino by the barista of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

This was my first time to TCB&TL, but as they say on TV - I'm loving it.

For one, it is conveniently located on Linking road right across from Amarsons. Yon just can't miss the big signboard.

Two, the vibe of the place is very young and lively. The music they were playing was damn good. Forgot to ask which compilation they were playing, but I enjoyed it for about 2 minutes it took them to hand over my to-go cappuccino.

Three, the place is spacious and good for a taking a break after a bout of crazy shopping on Linking Road.

Four - service with a smile.

Highly recommended. btw, the small cappuccino set me back by Rs. 70.

Good Ambience :)

Ok, I liked the ambience a lot, especially the upper section, it's not too packed and just right for two or more friends. What I had there was the lasagna (just about ok), the chicken ham cumber sole sandwich (too simple and expensively priced) and the double hot chocolate. That was quite nice! It's quite a cozy little place for one to sip their hot beverages and may be even just read or work on a computer. However, rather than grab eats there itself, just opt for a nice little beverage or two. You shan't be disappointed!

Good Morning Place

I happen to step into the place when i head a good cheer of good morning and welcome to coffee bean and tea leaf. That surely refreshed me.
But when it came to cold coffee which i ordered or the chicken roll she ordered. we have had better stuff at other places. Heck its over priced. Service is cheery slow, but its a coffee and a tea shop so its ok.

awful coffee, awesome ambiance...over priced and small quantities. courteous staff ..the ice creams at gelato make up for it!

Service?????

Okay...this is possibly the WORST eating place ever!!!! we sat for 30 minutes with NO service....we went inside to place our order and were told to have a seat....our order would be taken......nobody came and we even gestured to the waiters who were totally disinterested......it was like they didnt even want their jobs.....i am extremely disappointed with this and hope you pull up your socks if you hope to make your mark in bandra

Super Coffee

I had not quite liked the CBTL outlet at Tardeo (sobo central mall) so i was a little skeptical about trying the bandra outlet. but i'm so glad i did. the place is split into 2 levels, the lower one further divided into Ac and non-AC. but i chose the one upstairs as it just seemed brighter.
We called for 1 cafe mocha and my friend just wanted to try this all-day breakfast item so...an omlette with mushrooms, and also a chicken burger. The omlette came with toast and butter. It was quite yummy. The burger was just about okay. But the coffee was plain delicious!
I also liked the prompt and friendly service. Since this place gets pretty crowded on weekends, you might have to wait for a table. Besides that, all izz well :)

above all

The coffee bean & Tea leaf is an excellent example of a neighborhood coffee shop.

The coffee is brewed to perfection. The baked goods are a treat, and their side orders are very tasty.

It’s like one of those international cafes where you can sit in the corner and see the buzzing street outside, they have 2 sections – on the top and bottom and both are pleasant. The décor is simple yet vibrant at various points; their sofas have an amazing mix of colors. As soon as you enter, the staff welcomes you in concert.

The price range is okay, comparatively higher than our ccd’s but these meals are fresh as they have a separate kitchen. The staff is well trained and can suggest you if you ask.

The only problem I experienced was with their swipe card machines not working. After waiting for 10 mins at their counter, I suggested if they could wait for me to go to a local ATM and withdraw cash. So my advice, please don’t rely on cards for their payment.

I really wish they have more outlets towards Andheri and Malad, I am sure they will make it big. Dying to try all their sweet goodies. Well done coffee bean..thanks for a nice Saturday evening.

Loved the coffee and the ambiance

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (CBTL) was recommended by Daniel soon after he discovered my love for coffee! So a bunch of us went here and got ourselves a nice cosy seating at the end of the cafe. For the uninitiated, CBTL is located in the same building as the erstwhile Cream Centre, which has now been shifted to Oberoi Mall in Goregaon East.

We ordered for our respective coffees including a Cappuchino, Mocha Latte, White Chocolate Latte, Vanilla Latte, Cafe Latte, Americano and a Pure Caramel shake. Damn that is a lot of coffee! To think, we drank coffee, at around 10 in the night (and oh, bless the poor soul who drank Americano!), is insane! Yet we did exactly that!

They have small regular and large and most of the coffees were large and hence prices accordingly with the Cafe Latte and Americano being priced INR 100 each. Looking at the size, one can safely assume that coffee here is value for money.

The coffee here is very good. A little cheaper than Barista and a whole lot better than coffee at Java Expresso and Java Green. Freshly grounded coffee beans, milk and some sugar is all one needs to complement a conversation that can go on for hours.

Besides coffee, we also ordered for sandwiches including a Chicken Club sandwich, Chicken Cumberland Sandwich and a Jerk Chicken Sandwich along with Veg Lasagne.

The club s/w like everywhere else was pretty big and stuffed with salads and chicken pattice. Though it makes for a healthy meal, there is the the minimal Jerk Chicken stuffed with salami.

The white chocolate Latte was a bit like milky bar and coffee put together. But the best of the lot was the Caramel Drink with whipped cream. It was a lot of caramel and had to be shared amongst people.

Overall, CBTL is an excellent place for its coffee and the ambiance. Relax, hold a meeting or go on a date CBTL serves every one. The ambiance is very chilled out here and one can relax for hours. Though service here is a bit slow but that is no complain especially if you get to have some good coffee over conversations!

Morrocan Minty is Heavenly

Ambience is excellent, clean (has to be its new), very friendly staff and courteous. Toilet is clean (plus point). Slightly expensive but worth it.
The coffe and tea is great, they are willing to tweak your coffee to your liking which i think is great esp. since the staff's suggestions are good. The philly baked cream cheese cake is mind blowing. Its the nearest cheese cake like NY I have ever had outside NY.good going coffee bean.

good ambience..average food

went here for an early morning breakfast on Sunday. The guy who took the order was pretty knowledgeable about the varieties of coffee and the diff kinds of omlettes...which was a refreshing change. We ordered 2 coffees, 1 veg sandwich and 1 omlette. The coffee was fairly light inspite of me asking for it to be strong and they added cream without telling me that it comes with the package. The omlette portion was quite nice but small (1 would think that for 90 bucks you'd use 2 eggs) and the toast was slightly burnt.

All in all the food is average but a good place to kill a few hours in the hustle-bustle of bandra.

Kafee Clean & Pretty Neat

So I walked in to mirthful sounds of "Welcome to the coffee bean & tea leaf", the service speaking in unison in a sing song manner. A performance that was repeated every time someone walked in, to my dismay.
The ambience was impressive, like a cottage or cosy room, the first level with wooden flooring & big couches accompanied by a view. The ground level with its three or four sets of wooden chairs & tables clearly caters to the classes. The outdoor section is pretty decent too.
Expecting international standards, I placed an order for a banana muffin & a cappuccino, two things I must try at any coffee shop. The coffee was fine but what I've noticed at international chains of cafes is that the cold coffees, shakes & ice blended drinks are a better bet! The muffin, God alone knows if it was stale or just that way, was crumbly & not near satisfactory.
I also tried the vegetarian linguine which was pretty decent but had a faint scent of plastic that it might have been wrapped in. The desserts looked scrumptious. Pretty darn steep, the pricing but absolutely justified, especially when seen in comparison to other coffee shops in the vicinity. You have 2 CCDs, one Barista & one Costa around the same area. Move a little further & you have Theobroma & even McDonalds for coffee.
Anyhow the entire experience was alright. The service was friendly, slow but polite. The cafe was pretty packed. You'd probably catch teens & yuppies at this one.
While I had no intention of frequenting this one I decided I'd like my girls to have a good laugh at the welcome song, walked in all smiles two days later only to find that the waiters quit the jig...to my dismay!
