The best place to chill in the eastern suburbs
Food Studio is a hard to miss restaurant, as you will always find an influx of people trickling inside. They have an al fresco section too, which can get a little muggy to sit at during summers. The airconditioned inside section wins hands down, although the al fresco is well set up. This place sees a heady cocktail of people trooping in. Right from the likes of a group of young boys, to families and couples, even kids. So its a place for every kind of age group, although by the looks of it it looks very young, with a lengthy bar area that occupies a large section of the restaurant, LED tvs screening sports, subdued lighting and a peppy menu with a wide selection of bar food. We had the french fries, pasta, cajun chicken skewers and nachos along with pints of beer. The service was spot on. The food and drinks didn't disappoint too. It was a win win situation for both the restaurant as well as us, for they won a new loyal patron and we a chic new weekend spot.
Had a good time!
This place makes me feel too good. The ambience is too pleasant and awesome. Also the live matches are screened so you wont miss an important match when you are out for your dinner. Food & drinks are moderately priced with good quality in return! Awesome place. Loved it!
This place boasts of very good interiors, nice service, comforting ambiance and hygienic conditions. All these in all are quite hard to find and isn't expected.
Food was good, but not the best one around. The Quantity is pretty else as compared to the price. We ordered veg starter platter first which was good but not sufficient for a group of three.
The service was prompt and to the point as directed. Ambiance was very good with impressive interiors and good seating arrangement.
Definitely it is a nice option deserving a visit and recommended by me
Food Studio is a great date place.
I am always on the lookout for places to eat which won't burn a hole in my pocket. I had seen Food Studio before, but had never eaten there. Until a couple of weeks back that is.
We went around 4pm and were the only people around. You can get cocktails/mocktails by glass or pitcher. Their cheesy garlic bread is to die for. The chicken malai kabab was chewy but the taste was good.
Mains take a lot of time to arrive so order early. The paneer shashlik sizzler was the right amount of spicy. Do order the pasta. Brother was raving about how the kulfi doesn't have the frozen taste and melted in your mouth.
The ambiance is good, pricing is reasonable. Definitely check out this place.
A good place from drinks
Had been to Food Studio on a recommendation of a friend. A good pleasant ambiance. Good staff... Tried the Red Wine cocktail, didnt go down to well for my taste buds. The Americano fries is worth a try. The best part of the evening was the a drink called "Absinthe"... 400 bucks for a short but worth a try....
One of the better places in Mulund
This is one of the newer and better looking places in Mulund. Good for a date or to impress a client.. Their Italian food and Indian starters are good, but their Indian main course is strictly average. They offer 'make your own sizzler', but honestly didn't like the sizzler either. The place gets really busy on weekends and you may be in for a long wait to get a table. It also gets quite noisy if there's a match being aired. The ambiance is good and the service is quite warm, but don't expect too much from the food and you'll have a good time.
One time try
I had been to Food Studio recently and think the following about the visit
1) There quantity is very very less.
2) Just about an average type of food. Can be better. Nachos and Sizzlers - I have had better at other restaurants. Three cheese baked lasagna - decent. Tiramisu and the mocktail - loved them. Lovely ambiance.
I got sick eating at the Food Studio
While the ambience and decor is impressive, i must caution others about the hygiene levels in the kitchen. I caught up with my friends over dinner on the 17th July and was much upset to end up with diarohea the next day. i must say this was my first visit to the food studio and i dont think me or my friends will ever go back there.
I was on a date there, and while the restaurant was good, the waiters were a little annoying, because they kept coming every 15 mins to check if our beer bottles were empty. Kind of got the feeling that they were rushing us.. While the food wasn't bad, it wasn't exceptional.. The non-veg food was good.. But the disappointing one was the topped tacos..It just had some cheese poured over it haphazardly and lots of cabbage.. Any way.. As a whole it wasn't bad..
Excellent ambiance, food, service
Visited the place on a Saturday and had a great time... the place was lively and buzzing and the ambiance was great... Food was excellent with a variety of choices... Had their customized sizzler and it was fantastic...Overall it was an awesome dining experience...
Visited this place 4/5 times & had good time on each ocassion. The place is so lively & vibrant just loving it... Suggestions given by attendant were gud ...Taste is really good... Though I feel "Veg" items are very less compared to non veg.. So would like to request management to introduce some more veg items..Planning to visit it again & again...

TFS u has earned one more regular customer!
Lacking in Basic Customer Service Etiquette
Our first experience at the Food Studio was excellent! Amazing service and amazing food, recommendations made by our server was great!
Since we had such a lovely time previously we decided to go back for valentines day. We went late expecting crowd and right enough so. However, the mayhem could have been avoided if there was a lot more organisation.
We reached at around 10 p.m only to earn that there was a 30-45 min waiting period, which we didn't mind since our last time was such a good experience.
30 mins down we went to check if there was place available and the guy at the entrance said he'd phone us when the table is available. 11:15 p.m still no call, the manager says that as soon as the "band" clears (which should be in another few mins) we'll get a table. 11:30 we went up to the guy at the entrance and he said again sorry no free tables yet. Just then he flips the reservations page, and we see that the person after us (who were also 2 people) had already been seated. When we questioned the guy he said that we weren't standing inside (we were standing on the steps of the restaurant) When we reminded him that he was supposed to phone us as assured by him, he kept mum and had nothing to say. With this we gave him a earful and walked out. Luckily for us, Timbucktoo was still open and allowed us to stay til 1:30 a.m.
There was no apology from anyone, not the guy at fault nor the manager! Also want to point out that there was seating available open air with tables an all but it wasn't let out on such a crowded night. We'll never be going there ever again after such crappy service, and will never recommend anyone either.
The Food Studio, don't promise something if you're not going to deliver. And no matter how great your food is or how amazing your restaurant looks, you'll never have people eating in it if you suck at service or manners for that matter!
Mahem at its worst
Gosh i experienced the food was gud in the past .And made the mistake to book the place for a group and thats where it all fell apart. big promises while booking the place. inexperienced staff with no sense of service, so we have the welcome drink after we started dinner, n. veg a good 30 min after the veg was served. turning us all veg. roti with rice to follow , which took ages. dessert half of us couldnt last for. A preset group menu which should have been done in a hr most 30min more it took 2 1/2 hrs wat a waste of time. vist at your own risk, unless you want to spend long hrs. Food place should be gud with food and service which go hand in hand. the food being good butthe service falls off the scale.
Only because I had a good time
I m rating 4/5 only because i had a good time.
1. Good Ambiance
2. Reasonably priced alcohol
3. Good Lasagna..
1. saw mosquitoes there, scary cos there were many..
2. More than 3 waiters roam around and some even stare..
3. And nobody was able to tell that which brand of Absinthe i was having, the answer was, as i quote 'its from Spain'..!! Hello? thats not the answer to my question...!!
But still overall i managed to ignore all the bad points and just enjoyed my evening, I may come back again for pastas!! :)
Not so great place
Had been there couple of times. Good ambience, decent food but nothing great. We had ordered Nachos, got something really strange dish with chunks of cheese and half baked nachos chips. When we complained, we were told that chef thinks this is perfect. We told them we dont need it as it was definitely not like nachos. They took it back but charged us for something we never ate. The question is not about merely 150 bucks but it's about customer relationship and atleast trying to gather feedback from the customer.
The pasta we had ordered was very good. Onion rings were way too oily and pretty bad.
Overall decent place to visit. Stick to pastas or pizzas.
