Amazing Vegan Cakes
I am a pure vegetarian by birth trying to become vegan now,and so always on the lookout for new places which can give me some vegan goodies to munch on. This is an excellent place where I had some amazing vegan cakes, ordered them for mother's birthday and dark chocolate cake was just brilliant to say the least. Not soggy one bit which is a common problem with cakes found in places like monginis.
The Best Vegan Cake In Mumbai
As 3rd Feb approached, I dreaded the thought of my first birthday without cake. I had decided as a new year's resolution to embrace the Vegan lifestyle. I loved it, lots of Vegan options in Mumbai, except when it came to desserts.
My sister did her research and discovered GreenStove. Despite the last minute nature of her request for a vegan cake, she found Rithika ready and willing. They arranged for a pickup of Nutty Chocolate (dark chocolate, organic whole wheat with lots of nuts).
My sister could not visit the Ghatkopar location, luckily Rithika was gracious enough to deliver the cake herself in Bandra.
As a foodie, I have eaten in every continent, and this cake was by far the most delicious that I have ever tasted. You know how you feel guilty after indulging in desserts?
The best part with green stove's vegan cake is that you do not feel guilty after consuming large mouthfuls. The crust is airy and does not stick, which means whole wheat is truly whole wheat. It does not taste coarse, but instead you get morsels of real chocolate. Dark chocolate at that.
Imagine a cake that melts in your mouth with explosions of dark chocolate, followed by crunchy nuts and every bite that transports you to a heavenly place. The cake lasted us 3 days and I savored every piece - as days went by, it got even better. Unlike other cakes, it was not terribly sweet, all the more reason to indulge in it. Guilt free indeed.
I have often contemplated ordering this cake even if there is no occasion. I also like what I see on the green stove website about breads with sun-dried tomatoes and garlic. Especially. since most confectionary or bread items in India have milk or eggs or both.
I am glad entrepreneurs like Rithika have decided to make their passion a profession. I highly recommend you try these Vegan treats, which can hold a candle to the best delights of the non-vegan world.

Thank you so much for such a detailed review! I hope to make many more cakes for you!:)
Called for cup cakes from this little known place. Turned out that they dont have a shop but they deliver. The cup cakes were really nice. i am not a vegan but i think what theyve done with this place is quite innovative. We called for the banana walnut and the vanilla cup cakes....The people i had over loved it....I have hidden the identity of the place from them (This place is a little secret of mine now)
