Good place to watch a match!
We came here for an office party. While we had a buffet spread which was not exactly great, but on other days and for regular sized groups, the food is quite good. The place scores high on ambiance, music and is priced quite reasonably (taking into account the frequent offers running)
Recommendation: Go there to watch a match. You'll love the adrenalin running in the crowd.
February 23, 2015response from management at The United Sports Bar & Grill:
Ooh! Thank you so much for the recommendation, Deepika!
We'd love to hear your inputs about the buffet though, so we can try and improve our offerings. Do mail us at email@example.com with the details of your visit as well as what you ordered for the same.
Looking forward to hearing back from you,
I have been to Manchester United twice and am i love with this place. The staff is super courteous and gracious enough to recommend dishes and drinks according to your tastes(especially helpful who are social drinkers like me). The food was delicious and the drinks were awesome.Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. Its a great place to chill out.
Not a Football Fan but Go Man U !!!!!
Absolutely LOVE Man U cafe !! It's my favorite cafe !! Amazing food - I especially love the lunch buffets - the make your own pasta option & the broccoli chicken soup that I had once had had. The chef makes anything you want right there at his cooking station and put all of your favorite add on's. Great ambiance, amazing music, good service and affordable even after happy hours ! The bartender makes the drink just you way you like it so don't be shy to experiment with your drink :)
Best place to chat over a beer.
IT is a cool place to sit and chat over a beer as they have a good collection to offer, though if one has a German taste can try out the erdingers. Though they do not have any particular main course but the starters are filling too. The chicken served was good and the authenticity was maintained. I would not suggest to have wishky as they have a limited brand to serve.
Manchester United Cafe Bar is located on the highest level of Infiniti Mall, Malad. The sports theme bar features large screens - making it an ideal sports haven for football/cricket enthusiasts. I find that however the main attraction is the lunch buffet that the cafe offers every day of the week.
For just INR 299 (weekdays) and INR 399 (weekends), one can feast like a king and choose from a selection of Italian, European and Indian inspired dishes. The best part is, undoubtedly, the fact that the buffet is 'unlimited.'
For those that prefer to order a la carte, a word of advice; don't miss out on the Cola BBQ wings. They are a cafe speciality, and are insanely good. The highlight of the current menu is the Tandoori platter - try it out if you want a little taste of everything.
The best part about MUCB is the extremely hospitable and obliging staff. I've always had a good experience here. Highly Recommended!
THEY ALMOST KILLED MY HUSBAND
THEY ALMOST KILLED MY HUSBAND :-Unacceptable Attitude of the Manager and Staff. They served my husband a broken piece of chipped glass inside the Heineken beer. He almost gulped it but got it out on time. When we complained to the Manager Firmin (or something like that), he acted SLEAZY and asked the staff to run away with the broken bottle so we don't have any proof with us. Luckily i took some pics of the bottle before they took it. The manager had no regard for a person who could have died because if his staffers negligence infact says "This food is free for you today, what do you want me to do".
The service was bad from start, we were served our salad but no cutlery. Asked for the cutlery, server grins as if it was a joke. Then we order Massaman Curry, they serve us Pad Thai Noodles, then serve us the curry too. As we returned that, the beer bottle came undone.
No concern showed by the manager and his assistant, both of them when came to us(as per them to address our complaint), didn't allow us to speak, just went on saying "It happens when u open a bottle with force". As if its ok to serve a customer chipped glass with his meal and expect the customer to not be upset about it. Infact they showed as if they were disgusted as if we were making a huge deal out of a small issue.
Wont leave these guys until I take them to Consumer Court and will ensure I go to every forum and inform everyone I know of their LAX ATTITUDE and POOR CUSTOMER EMPATHY.
Have a question for the management - what do you teach your employees-dont worry about Customers health, just save your backside.
As a customer we visit restaurants putting faith into the hands of the staffers to serve us hygienic food and Drinks without any safety hazards. MANCHESTER UNITED- Please put up a sign for customers to strain their drinks before consuming because you never know u may have to go back to a hospital and not home.
My latest favourite
I waited for almost 3 years a few visits to finally write this conclusive review. I must say, with great satisfaction, that this place has proven to be true. They have surprised me by their efficiency, professionalism and very warm and friendly attitude. It is indeed one place that I have marked in my diary to visit more often. Over my past visit of all the various feelings that emerge, the one that has been prominent is that this place is indeed value for money. Sadly they have stopped them Beer towers. I will miss that. Else, the place is fun no doubt.
One of my friends who accompanied me one evening, kept wondering why I like this place. It was hard to explain him about the beauty in the simplicity of the place. It is not overly made up, so far as decor is concerned. Sitting is pretty comfortable, for me at least. Spacious enough and yet not very 'empty'. Music they play is just the type that I like. Food is about right. Of course one can argue on aspects of variety, taste and quantity. It is matter of personal likes and preferences. For my needs, this place provides everything in the right dose. Not too much and nothing is made where you feel that something was cut back to save the cost.
Would strongly recommend to anyone who wishes to enjoy a rather gently buzzing, not crowded nor loud but just a place that lazily rolls on.
Man u B There !!
This is one of my fav. restaurant & been here a few times.
I was here to celebrate my wife's bday. This place is loved by her for the pasta's & buffet offered by them.
The live pasta counter is just awesome.
The deserts & fruits just adds up to the food.
The music played here is just cool. They have some real good collection.
A must try & value for money.
SO SO ...
Disclaimer: I am writing about Manchester United Cafe Bar, and not about Manchester United Football Club.
So, to all the ManU fans, no hard feelings.
All I can say is this place is overrated, Food is no good, half of the things in the menu are not available!
Service took like ages to come.
Feelwise I have seen better sports bars!
Ambience and food quality needs to be worked upon for this place to survive rather make profits!
worst service EVER , didn't give knife at all
went there on 29th dec with a Man U match goin on and faced the worst service ever ever . Even after repeating minimum of 7 times to 3 different people to give us a knife they just did not give it . They did not provide the kiwi drink until we had to finally call them after 45 min or so that we are now leaving. For not giving the knife they provided some silly excuse after 45 min that some cutlery machine was not working so they could not give the knife. But had this been the case they should have told right at the start . Hell they could have gone out bought a knife or borrowed from some place and given it . its too big a world that people will not go to Man U cafe but this incident shows me the level of pathetic service big brands can keep and still make money . Amazingly bad service experience. When you go you are sure to get that kind of service as well . Be prepared .
Good place to hang out with a couple of friends
I was there a few weeks ago with a few friends. Had a nice evening. Drinks were going down well.
The food is good; would recommend having United nachos in case you are a cheese lover. The only problem I found with this was that they have very few Indian whiskeys due to which the bill may be a little on the higher side, but it is worth the ambiance and the service.
Good work... Keep it going!!
should experience it
went to dis place for my frnds bday party around 2.30pm.it was almost empty, ambience and decor n everythng is awesome for a sports bar,, no live match was on so it was a waste for me to hv visited it around tht time, starters r gud..no main heavy course available as such, felt food menu is limited,bt d drinks menu was huge.
our service was given by vijay, who was really well informed abt both food n drinks n helped us a lot wit d decisions for what to try or not , kuddos to him
perfect place to visit wit a bunch of frnds who drinks on a match night
I will never recommend this place to anyone. Very poor service. Music was poor. DJ was playing Jive or Salsa numbers for hours. My friends were really crying out. DJ didnt have any of my friends request. It was as if they picked up a DJ from a marriage venue and made him play there. And to top the worst they ran out of local beers by 10 pm on a Saturday night due to which they could not serve Tower. That is a real disgrace for a Pub or the management who could not anticipate the amount of people coming on a saturday night and keep a proper stock of beer. The only fun being there was when the screening UEFA final match started. That really bought some enthusiasm in the crowd who were almost gonna sleep listening to the poor music. But even that fun died soon when they stopped after the half time. Can understand as they had the deadline. But was wondering if they would do the same if there was a Manchester Match being played. If they did that then I dont believe they would live up to the name or the theme on which the place is actually running.
Not impressed enough
Went on a friday night...It wasnt a match night..but that is no excuse for such lousy n outdated music played by the DJ. I can imagine bars are not a place to come in with friends for a conversation but the volume of the music was so loud that i felt like rushing out..
We were a group of 6 friends. I liked the option of Greek Salad in the menu for the vegetarian and health minded palate. My friends relished on the Chicken Saate. My friend ordered a Fruity Margherita which was unimpressive. The service warm and co-operative. The biggest dissappointment was when my friend found a wire in the Chicken sizzler!!! We complained immediately and the manager apologized and replaced the dish.
Last but not the least, just when we were about to leave, we remembered a drink (cosmopolitan) ordered by my friend was never served till the end of the meal!! When we asked the manager he apologized again and sent accross the drink. But does it make sense to send a drink after your patron has finished the meal!!!
Food is reasonably good. I liked the pesto cream pasta and the blue berry cheesecake. I was impressed by the size of the servings.
Ambience is very pleasing and spacious. But we only wish the DJ thought of playing better latest tracks. I felt i was taken to 1980s...!!
Time with friends is always enjoyable but people should be able to hear each other at least..!!
Come, chill, drink...enjoy!
This place is like a boon to the drinking joint starved Malad. Good music, great food and great booze. Don't like the fact that it's in a mall...still its better than having nothing at all. The staff is friendly and DJ know his music. Have already been there twice and hoping to go there more often.
Just as we were beginning to think that Malad had run out of decent places to eat out (with the exception of Pop Tates), the suburb got a breather in the form of Manchester United Café Bar that opened a couple of months ago here after successfully operating in Lower Parel and Mulund. Shirin Mehrotra visits this new drinking destination and comes out buzzed
After struggling to find the elevator at Infinity Mall, we finally reached the food court and headed towards the mezzanine floor. There, opposite Zaffran, stood Manchester United Cafe Bar. And if you manage to shut yourself out from the chaos of the lower level, you truly are in for a great night.
Décor and Ambiance: If you are a true-blue soccer fan (read Manchester United), you will definitely love the interiors with all the members of Old Trafford smiling back at you from the walls and Manchester United merchandise on display. If not, dont be disheartened because the bar never misses to play the big cricket matches on its numerous large screens.
The décor is dominated by red and black and the lights are just enough to help you browse through the menu. Music adds to the ambiance and the DJ knows what people want after they are a couple of drinks down. The evening started with commercial numbers and slowly graduated to Bob Marley, Eric Clapton and Pink Floyd!
Drinks: The bar menu is extensive and offers a great mix of Indian and international beers. We however, gave the beer a miss and ordered a long island ice tea and a mojito. If you are in the mood to experiment, try the Jager Bomb (Jagermeister infused in a glass of Red Bull) or whiskey with beer, if you are brave enough. Sit at the bar and the friendly bartenders will make sure you have a great time while they mix your drinks.
Food: Since its a bar, we didnt expect the food to be great but to our surprise it didnt disappoint us. For starters, we ordered spicy pepper wings, Mongolian satay chicken and Greek salad. In the true spirit of sports, we also ordered a BBQ chicken pizza with broccoli and crunchy apple. The thin-crust, freshly-baked pizza made us want to order some beer, but we resisted.
With beer, chicken, great music and football/cricket all at one place, Manchester United Cafe Bar is on its way to giving a lot of drinking joints in Malad a run for their money.
Meal for two: Rs 1,900 (plus taxes)
B'day Blast !!!
I went to the place on my b'day with a bunch of 4 friends. We could feel the amazing atmosphere instantly- the peppy music, the high seats and just the place by itself! unfortunately the service couldn't match up. Like the manager or whoever on the door was out-of-the-way sweet, which was okay, but our server just appeared to be confused all the time, about everything... but the food was fantastic
my buddies brought along a cake, which they made me cut over there. so the staff added some showy fire work candle while the DJ played the B'day song(No, not the kiddie one!) and some of the staff came to wish me...It was SO cool, though it just made our table the limelight of the place for a while :P Some happy high people even clapped... :-)
so bottom line- gr8 food, awesome atmosphere, sweet, confused staff.
Good Food ! Thats it !
Friday night do... the service sucks ...
Waiters could not stop arguing amongst themselves ( as to who promised to get the Coke - which they DONT serve ) ....Drinks took forever to get to the table! the manager was God knows where ?!
Now for the good part. .. Good food. Chicken satay and nachos with hot spinach cheese sauce is a must try.
Food Quality: 4/5
Food Quantity: 3/5
Food Pricing: 3/5
It was a typical Friday night. We (my guy & I) dropped in on 5th Aug, with beers and sizzlers and the game on our minds. Exhausted from the hours of shopping, what better a solution! We walked in at around 9:00 and stayed on until 10:30 or so. Listed under is our enthralling experience.
We ordered a bucket of 4 (Carlsberg) Beers They serve international beers, but we wanted to maintain a low budget considering the bucks blown up on apparels minutes ago. The price against the bucket of 4 was approximately 650/-
They dont serve peanuts, cheese lings or a salad so its better you order something to munch on. We ordered a Manchester United Club Sandwich that costed us 350/- It was 3 slices of bread amongst layers of lettuce, chicken ham/bacon slices, pieces of fried chicken, mayonnaise, cucumber, onions, egg and capsicum served with French fries and a shallow dish of tomato ketchup. Yes it was filling, but id think of it as a tad bit expensive.
We rested our jaws a bit, but not too long. We called for main course that comprised of a Beef Steak Sizzler and a Grilled Chicken Dish. Let me describe the 1st main course item, the pieces of beef (along with BBQ sauce) was spread on a bed of buttered vegetables, mashed potatoes, onion rings and fries. Enchanting delicacy and we enjoyed every bit of it. It costed us 360/- I ordered a Grilled Chicken main course item that included Chicken Breast flavored with mushroom sauce served with mash potatoes, buttered vegetables and thyme leaves used as a dressing. It was indeed a good fill and might I add, scrumptiously delicious. 350/- for this dish too.
We were surprised that although we arrived at 9:00, there were people hangin by the bar as the tables were already occupied. Despite it being spacious, the Friday night crowd caused it to look packed. I cant possibly describe the energy on a match night. Good experience. The service was obviously delayed as the crowd in my opinion reached its pinnacle, but they (waiters) did the best they could to oblige and we appreciated it. My suggestion here would be, increase the staff at peak hours/nights according to match schedules. Total damage for the night inclusive of taxes 1870/-
Yes it is a tad bit expensive, but youre entering a world renowned sports club café - great music, sports energy, kickass accessories (ManU Coasters, ManU labels stuck on toothpicks transforming them into mini flags, ManU wall mounts all across the Café, etc), and a cherishable experience. My suggestion, call them in the morning to reserve a table.
Management, well done. You got yourself a loyal patron. Cheers!
