OK not that great

Been here on Saturday with a close friend paid 660 per person. The ambiance was good starters were limited as they were served on the table and no one cared to ask if we wanted more. we played daandiya for about 20mins,. There were many dishes could not taste all out of some dishes I tasted I only liked the gajar ka halwa and jalebi. The main course was ok ok. Overall to summarize the ambiance was good the food was not up to the mark did expect a lot more.

Rural experience at its best

Village is the ideal place to spend a summer afternoon with the family. For Rs 550 as entry free and unlimited cuisine ranging from chinese, punjabi, gujarati, marwari and even mongolian, this place is definitely worth your money. Unlimited food, very rural set up, entertainment in terms of dandiya, garba and a funny chai wala provide good fun. There are other added attractions such as palmistry, tattoo painting, haircuts, bangle making which add fun elements to the entire experience.

Different experience, but don't go hungry

Went to the village last night. A very "different" ambience. Staff was over-enthusiastic to please (a good thing) and the tables were well spread out. Contrary to other reviewer's opinions, I found the place to be fairly well kept.

But the food itself was a major disappointment. The appetiser drinks had excessive water and little flavour to them. The starters arrived within 60 seconds of us being seated. We figured they were pre-prepared (confirmed later). The Indian food was HORRIBLE, lying around in open containers with no one to look after it. On the flip side, the dosas were good, as were the Mongolian noodles & Pani Puri.

Bottomline : I could eat better pani puris, noodles and Dosas at a local Shiv / Sukh Sagar for a 100 bucks. The entry fee was Rs. 700 odd per person. Honestly not worth it.

This place is best skipped.

Stench

Was invited to a corporate party. The ambience is like a mis mash of a road side dhabha a jail, saloon etc. Visually one can appreciate the overall look but the stench was unbearable I mean every corner was dirty. Maybe the interiors are such that it may be difficult to clean or what? Food was ok. The live sweet counter was excellent..

can try it once!

It’s like a zoom-in version of the famous Chowki Dhani. The whole place has a rustic feel to it from ambience to food. There will be waiters inviting guests for dandiya, village woman reading cards and the likes. Also, the food is very close to what one would get in a Rajasthani wedding.

The buffet includes chaats, kababs, beverages (butter milk, flavoured milk shakes, cold drinks), dal bati, khichdi, main course (ranging from dal to sarso ka saag and maki ki roti), desserts (jalebi, mal pau, phirni). And, all this is for Rs 440 inclusive of taxes during lunch.

For the price, it’s a must-go place for the feel of it. But, don’t expect the food to be anything out of this world. It’s good but not brilliant. Chole, sarso-ka-saag, dal bati can be given a skip. Jalebi is a must-try though!

Different experience Quite nice

First and foremost if you are expecting fine dining, the village is not your cup of tea. The village ambiance resembles a typical Indian village with a barber's chair, central jail, central spot under the tree and even a ''ladies teller'' ( ladies tailor)

The food spread is pretty big, chaat counter, various kinds of vegetarian and non veg starters (kebabs) and soft drinks. They do not serve any liquor. The waiters are very efficient and bring the starters to your table from the buffet. The Gandhi caps that they make you wear at the start puts you in the mood for a typical village treat.

For less than 800 bucks a head ( for dinner) and 400 for lunch, this place is a steal. I think foreigners will enjoy this a lot more than us Indians. Good service, decent food and very different atmosphere makes this place deserve a try, at least once.

BTW it's non air conditioned, so made more sense to go for dinner in our 'winter season'
