Stale and foul smelling sweets
This Diwali I thought of buying sweets from Tip Top Mithaiwala. I thought that since the they have many outlets in the city and they being so popular, the quality of sweets must be definitely good! Not to mention they are premium priced, and as we all think that if the product is high priced and branded then it must surely be good. Otherwise why should it be so expensive?
But to my surprise (rather shock!) the rasgullas and gulab jamuns that i bought were all stale. The gulab jamuns had a foul smell in them. We couldn't eat any gulab jamuns and had to throw away all of them, as we did not want to risk our health. Dunno if they used spoilt khoya, as is the case at many sweet shops (as shown in the news). Also the ras gullas had a slimy feel to it. Not knowing why they were slimy and what ingredient made them slimy I decided to throw the ras gullas as well! I believe health is wealth!
So you see all my money went waste, but i guess it is better than eating bad sweets and falling sick or getting food poisoning!
So please beware and don't ever buy sweets from Tip Top Mithaiwalla!
