Torrp It Up Reviews

Bad Copy, No Standards

The poor sibling of SubWay is exactly what Torrp It Up is...

The Torrp looks lovely only in the advertisement pics which are shot amazingly well to entice you to try one out..

I happened to try this out in R City Mall and what made me fall for it was the Day's Delight (on the lines of Sub of the day) and it was Chicken Tikka. In the Menu it didn't say this, it was Murgh Masala or something..

Ask for the bread of choice like whole grain, and "its 10 rs extra" pat came the reply. So I settled for the herb Bread. I asked the bread to be toasted and I was told it will be done later. I kept wondering how will he toast it later? until I saw what a mess he made of the entire sandwich..

Only a few ingredients to be stuffed in the bread. Onion, Jalapenos, Olives, Capsicum and 3 slices of tomato and cucumber each.. no more..

The dressings also had a few options and I was insisted to have ketchup..There was chilly sauce to make my torrp (not sure if that is what they want us to call it) spicy..

All in all after loading the bread with all this he stuffed it in the grill. The sauce oozing out and the use of a spatula to keep all the ingredients in place. The grill sizzled with the dressing falling all over the hot plate.

Only when I opened the packet at my table i saw the mess that had become of the whole thing. One bite and I realised that the bread was super stale.. When I confronted the server, he said it came today morning only..
The Manager Raj was missing and even the bill presented to me was blank.. wonder why??? Because the printer was out of ink..

All in all such a lousy experience and all because I thought, May be we had a option to the Giant Subway, and of course a cheaper one..

But, now I know.. If you love your sandwich, go for a Subway....Dont try Torrp It Up and Mess it up..

Favourite Chill out place

Finally a new place to chill out after college. Torrp it up is just amazing and after college my friends and I go there to have a good time together and have fun. It is an amazing place to hang out with friends and eat their amazing food. I always eat their Torrps because it is so delicious. I eat a different one every time I visit. Last time I had the smoked chicken Torrp and the meat was so tender and juicy it felt like I was in heaven.

Great Food :)

Eating at Torrp it up is like a day in heaven for my taste buds. Everything they serve tastes lovely and I can’t help but talk about it all day. What I love the most about Torrp it up is the Tartines which are open faced sandwiches and are completely amazing. My favorite is the Lamb Kafta Tartine where the meat is so soft and tender and the Mushroom Tartine is also very tasty.

Now I will burst the bubble

Torrp It Up has been the much touted competition for Subway. However, the management should know exactly what it takes to be competition.

I visited the R City food court outlet of Torrp It Up 12 days ago. To start of the so called "Manager" of the outlet was more concerned with chatting away with his fellow staff than serve a customer who waited for 7 minuted before he had to raise his voice to grab attention.

Service: Pathetic is too mild a word to use. The staff is disinterested, apathetic and least bothered what the customer has to say. I mean they decide what sauces they will put on your Torrp. The customer has to just stare. I ordered for a smoked chicken torrp with all veggies. Firstly, do check the amount of veggies that your "trained" staff applies on the base. 5 pieces of lettuce, 3 slices of tomatoes, 4 pieces of olives, 3 pieces of jalapeno and a sprinkle of onion is what they term as "All Veggies". I mean... come on.. is that how they have been taught to dress a Torrp?? 4 pieced of olives? Disgusting.

The person then asks "Spicy or non spicy?" Didnt know i was ordering Chinese food at Torrp. I decided to just let it be and said spicy. The amount of sauces wouldve probably filled a couple of tea spoon. and to top it off, he had no knowledge of packing the torrp.

When I sit down to have a bite, VOILA!!! the Torrp is torn and now represents an open face sandwich with all the "so called toppings" hurrying for cover. I approach the "Manager" of the outlet to complain and I receive a rude response, "Sir, You do not know what a Torrp is. This is how it is". I asked him if this is how he treats all his customers to which I got a response, "Sir khalifukat chillum chilli kyu karte ho. Nahi chahiye to yeh lo paisa vapis aur jao yeha se" WOW!!!!

This is the service and the kind of CRAP that Torrp It Up is using to compete with Subway. Mr. Anil or Prateek Mittal, if you are reading this, this laclusture and rude service coupled with ZERO knowledge of how to serve your customers will only make you the laughing stock of the QSR industry of India.

I was happy that I was able to convince 3 other customers waiting in line to cancel their orders.

I do not want a response to this review as the attitude of your organization was clearly reflected in the attitude of your staff.

Dear Akshay i am really sorry to hear how my staff has spoken and let our company down in front of customers and has also been rather slack with his job as per your description. We will have this taken up very seriously. Please could we have your email I'd for some more suggestions and recommendations.

Always a huge fan of Torrps

Been here a couple of times, and it just gets better each time. Torrps are well priced, and more affordable ever since sub-of-the-day was killed. This stall gets 5/5 for customer focus. Must must try if you're into sandwiches.

Getting better every time!

Quickie here:

Breads: Fresh. Paisa Vasool Multi-grain bread full of Flax seeds @ Rs. 10 (trust me, try it!).
Veggies: Good enough - they usually don't overload it with veggies which is what I don't like but it's alright. Veggies are fresh and delight.
Sauces: Good to go - actually, act like a stranger and ask them to do their thing - they rock!
Delivery (yes, they deliver!): Very good - 20-30 mins and boom!
Variety: Pretty good. Can improve here. But anyway, a lot more than Subway.
Vasool factor: 5/5 from me. Also, grilling the sandwich instead of toasting it makes a whole lot of difference - full marks here.

Suggestions: Add fresh Spinach to veggies and more lettuce to your sandwiches
(wait, Torrps) and you're fine. Your USP is fresh bread and good delivery service - focus more on it!

Just try it...

I would say it is nt a new concept-but they hv cum up with lovely breads & toppings for thr sandwiches.
They have veg and non-veg torrps of the day @ just Rs.70.
Thr breads are fresh and each sandwich is grilled-which mks it different and better.Overall it is filling & light on the pockets.
