Snack Time

Personally, I haven't been to Trupti and have been hearing as well as eating a lot from this particular place. Thanks to my better half.
Predominantly a Gujarati snack haven, I guess there is little you should be missing from this shop.
First and foremost - The Paneer Sandwich Dhokla - This brilliant experimentation with a generic Gujarati snack can make you drool any time during the day even though you have a bellyfull. Lusciously smooth paneer (Indian cottage cheese) slipped between two extremely soft and wet pieces of khaman dhokla with green and red chuttaney makes you close your eyes while indulging the outburst of the tastes on your tongue. I rank it No.1 and is the best dhokla I've ever had in my life.
Methi Dhokla is a greener cousin of a normal khaman dhokla. It tastes good but can't beat the paneer dhokla.
Samosa - Normally, a very common snacking option available above the banks of Krishna and Narmada River :-), this gets a wonderful makeover as far as taste is concerned at Trupti's. Super crunchy and tad thick outer layer with a flavorful stuff inside makes it an ideal partner for hot jalebis.
No need to write too much about jalebis. The flamboyant orange colored sweet dripped in sugar syrup goes well with samosas. A hearty north Indian snack!
Dahi Bhalla is certainly good but not outstanding.
Trupti also has a wonderful array of sweets. The latest addition of Mango Burfee is very tasty. It's grainy, smooth and with a wonderful sublime taste of Alphonso mango.
Obviously, good things normally don't come easy (and cheap)! The more time you spend at gorging these wonderful snacks, your wallet will feel lighter every moment. However, who cares about the wallet if your heart (and gut) is being filled up with JOY!
Hopefully, I'll get some discount for writing this review about Trupti! If not then I'll be happy that you have started devouring it! Happy Snacking!

Happy snacking!

So I had about 1 hour to kill before the show for The Lincoln Lawyer to start and I was starting to feel a little hungry. Thanks to my girlfriend to take me to this place, I've really started liking this place. It's just a small farsan/sweets shop with some of the most fresh stuff you can find there.

And yes, if you go there, request for a HOT plate of jalebis and you will not regret it.

Ambience
Not really applicable since they are a farsan shop (inside a very posh mall like Palladium!!). Instead of ambience, let's talk about the cleanliness of this place. The counters are sticky (thanks to the sugar syrup from most of the sweets that drip on the counters, and some condiments, etc), avoid touching the counters at all costs. There is a very small stand-and-eat-counter at the exit, with the dustbin just over 6 inches away from you (luckily no flies here). The stand-and-eat counters are not cleaned unless specifically asked for. A special mention for the absolutely greasy glass door should be present - DIRTY!

Food
In one word, GOOD. I'm a big fan of their chaat and jalebis. So I had a paneer dhokla (65 bucks for 3 pieces) which was just too watery for some reason (read: not fresh), 2 samosas (50 bucks for 2) which were awesome when paired with their green and tamarind (sweet) chutneys. Then I headed to the chaat counter for a Dahi khasta kachori which was just above average (55 bucks). And then a plate of pani puri (50 bucks for 6). The pani puri was tasty, but could've been MUCH more worth the money had the ragda been hot (Yes, I'm a typical Mumbaikar who likes ragda in the pani puri instead of boiled potatoes like the Delhi'ites do). Wrapped it up with a Chocolate Truffle pastry (eggless ofcourse, since this place is owned and run by Gujratis)

Service
I'd say it is good since they recommend you what you should try next. Thanks to them, I tried out their Samosas and absolutely LOVED it. The eating counter was dirty and I requested the owner to have someone clean it, instead I got a pause, stare and a look-away by the owner. So service is not so good here.

Damages
HEAVY. I ended up paying almost 300 bucks for a 5 items we had. Go there for the experience, but don't make it a habit since it will rip your pockets inside out for sure.

Would I go there again - YES
Would I go there with friends - Maybe
Would I go there with family - YES! (Being a foodie runs in the family)

perfect place for farsan lovers.

The place is located inside pheonix mills...the place has a wide variety of snacks,farsans,pastries...
the snacks out here are good...they also have diet snacks which are quiet popular these days for fitness freaks...
The place has good khakras....(dnt knw the english name)...
Its a good place for a quick bite as well...
The price is a bit 2 high.
Overall a good place to snack.

shame shame

bad smelling place of dirty leftovers. the original one in girgaum is so clean and smells goooood.
badly kept counters, expired farsan (u can see thru the plastic bags). arrogant staff and generally a superb example of a brand losing out to mediocrity - why why why do they always MESS up when they EXPAND?

Excellent

The cakes are real good. You dont feel the absence of the eggs.
My last order came too fresh and the icing was still hot so the alphabets on the name and birthday wishes got scattered.

They give freshly made cakes so its best to give the order a little in advance so they get time to prepare.
