Best Fine dining
Chingari is a fine dinning restaurant at the top floor of le meridien hotel. he food was definitely good specially moradabadi kofta curry. We even ordered chicken achari tikka and aloo tikki-it was amazingly wonderful. Little chocolate truffle pastry was perfect to end our evening with. We were given a nice pool edged table with a nice candle light arrangement.Everyone who wants to do good wine-dine fare to celebrate special occasions must visit.
Good for celebrations
The place perfectly fits for any occasion that calls for a celebration.. It has good view aof the city and decent Indian environ and not cheap or loud. Great food served with a warm friendly smile, and decorated with coloured light and twinkling stars. If you go there must try is dal chingari. It is heavenly. With garlic naan or laccha parantah. But there is no dance floor or loud music
Awesome food, brilliant ambience
I had been to this place a few days back and I was surprised that no one has reviewed this place on burrp. Well, first of all this is a roof top restaurant on the 9th floor of Le Meridien. As you walk out of the lift you can look at a calm swimming pool that has been dimly lit from the sides. There is a small well built wooden shack which houses 6 tables and a small bar. There are seating places around the pool as well. Further there are tables along the wall as well ... to overlook the beautiful city of pune. The lighting in the place is absolutely beautiful and if you have got a date to take ... this is definitely the place (of course it might burn a small hole in your pocket but ... then the place deserves it).
Now about the hospitality ... the captain was extremely polite and was always around to check with us periodically if the food was good ... or if we had been waiting for the next order for a long time.
Firstly we were served a roasted papad-basket. The menu is not exhaustive but has a lot of items to select from. The prices are high but then what else do you expect from a roof-top restaurant within a 5-star hotel. Here is what I had ...
Tandoori Gucci (very good smoked, kebab-shaped, mushrooms with some delicious filling within - a specialty of the place very pricey though.) - Rs.995
Tand. Makh Aloo - 325 (another good starter)
Paneer Miloni - 360 (gravy dish)
Frozen Margherita - 365
You must give the gulab jamun here a try. They were huge in size and very delicious. (210 for 1 portion containing 2)
Overall a very good experience. Dinner for 2 without drinks (and without a 1000rs. starter) would be around 2-2.5k
