Quick Service And Lovely Food
This is a really decent and lovely restaurant at baner area. Been here with friends couple of times and now its became our favourite dining place at baner. Tandoor , kabab , nan, deserts are all lovely. All in all lovely place . Sitting on the 1st floor is better than sitting down :) . The service is too quick .
Stagnated at good, doesnt seem to get better
I have been to Magnolia ever since it was on DP Road in Aundh. Suddenly one day out of the blue, it got wings and flew all the way to Baner.
The place is a decent Sino-Indian place with probably a bar as well. We headed out to Magnolia on a Friday evening at around 7. I was accompanied by my wife and kid.
The ambiance in both places is pretty similar, only that the current outlet is far more spacious that what i was used to seeing on DP road.
Menu was is typically Sino-India with a good mix of Thai as well. Since my wife is a vegetarian and she has this strong belief that even my daughter has to be vegetarian , so i had to order veg food.
We ordered the typical tom kha soup with veg friend rice for her and american chopsuey for me with a mocktail and ice team.
The Tom Kha soup was good but i thought a little more lemon grass would have added more zest to the soup. The egg fried rice was good . A lot of new restaurants seem to me owning up to not going the MSG way which is good. Magnolia seems to be one of them.
The american chopsuey was more of tamatar noodles. First of all i was served flat noodles instead of the regular noodles, the gravy was oh so freaking tamatary - it was effing irritating . The combination of flat noodles and the over powering flavour of tomato sauce was effing ridiculously lousy ! It was dying a slow natural death suffocating on tomato.
The mocktail was keeping alive.
All in all the bill for all the above was about 620 with a 30 rs tip to the waiter bec he was polite enough to bend down and pickup everything my daughter threw down. Full marks there.
if only the american chopsuey was a little more palatable it would have been a good end to a rather tiring evening.
Got to try the indian here though...sometime..
pretty decent place
Must have to say it's a pretty decent place with sober decor. One of the very few restaurants in Baner road where you can actually enjoy evening with your family, friends or spouse! Food is pretty nice as per the price is concerned. If you are at Baner road and looking for a dining option, you must goto Magnolia.
****MASTI FUL MAGNOLIA****
A cool place to enjoy life and of course food with near and dearones Magnolia is the place to be. Nice and hot Thai here is a must try of Magnolia. Visited this place first time in May 2012 to enjoy the IPL knockouts. Was amazing atmosphere as we enjoyed a variety of Chinese that night. Plastic transactions are offered which was a helpful thing as we ran out of cash licking our fingers and enjoing the encounter on screen. Paisa wasool hanout
Average Experience, Disappointed
Went for dinner yes'day and was disappointed. We were disappointed by their version of Thai. There was no taste of Lemongrass in Thai soup, Thai Pomphret was horrible. Veg Satay looked good but was expensive for the content it offered. Not a great thai cuisine experience.
We tried Indian Cuisine for main course & it was better than Thai. To our surprise, they didn't put Paneer in Diwani Handi & instead stuffed it with lot of potato.
Ambience & service is good.
Our verdict, avg restaurant, not worth the price.
Surprised & Be Lucky @ Magnolia
I have visited this place yesterday with my frienzz my experience has been worth the visit.
The starters, the main course, the ambiance and the service are extremely good.
The service is note-worthy. The starters specially Kababs are absolutely mouth-watering Both the veg and the non-veg starters are amazing.
The atmosphere is very soothing and If after all this @ the time of billing if One get discount than what need to say more ....
will visit again ......
Good thai food
Having just shifted to Pune from Hyderabad, was badly craving some Thai food. Mebbe being a newbie in Pune and with a not so good experience at Malaka Spice, just took a risk with Magnolia and boy I wasnt dissapointed. The veg Thai red curry with bamboo shoots was perfect. So was the veg Pad Thai with peanuts. Maybe the garnised peanuts could have been better but no biggie. The only grouse was with the veg schezwan manchurian starter as atleast a couple of them felt slightly undercooked. I had ordered for home delivery and the service was prompt and the food was packed well and delivered piping hot. Will definately try again!
We read your review and we apologise for un cooked food send to you but we confirm that the replacement send to you was persoanally verified by the owner before sending it to you and still you have written that the second delivery was also uncooked.
Our intention are to serve good well cooked food, we apologise for the inconvience casued to you. Please do visit us.
un-cooked food served
Today we ordered some chinese food. The veg hakka noodles and veg fried rice were not fully cooked. So I called back and they agreed to replace the order. Even though the lady on the phone was quite adamant that bad food cannot leave their premises! Any ways the noodles and rice that they replaced were still half cooked and I had to throw all of it in into the bin.
For the kind of money they charge and quality of food... absolutely mis-match!!
I have been visiting Magnolia when they were in Aundh, and today I taged along my friend to Baner their new location.I must say this place has great ambience and decor. We tried their 'Buffet on the Table Menu' for Lunch a great combination of Chinese & Indian Cuisine not heavy on the pocket Rs.259/- per head( all inclusive)and the usual attentive service.Check out the Bar on the 1st.Floor.
