Jia - Never went wrong with ROYAL CHINA. Been a regular there. Standards set high. Heard JIA belongs to the same group, frankly was itching to visit the place. First impression - WOW. Soothing decor, not heavy. Inviting feel. Spacious/Royal. It's known as "Jia the Oriental Kitchen" Specializing in Dim Sums, Sushi, Thai and Modern Chinese dishes. Bar is fully stocked as well. 2 levels of sitting. Ambiance/Service was fantastic In short the overall experience was Amazing.

Jia is the brainchild of Neville Vazifdar and aims to be the modern counterpart of oriental cuisine. Jia means "I love my family" in Mandarin and you get that family feel when you visit the place.

Here is what we had:

Lobster Roll In black Pepper sauce - This is a very delicate dish which was executed well. Had that spicy taste to it. A hit of Fresh black pepper and the sauce. Basically sliced Lobster rolled in Ho fun noodles ( Chinese noodles made from rice - flat ) sauce had Nice punch of ginger/Garlic/Spices - overall soft nice texture.

Cream Cheese roll - Vegetarians , Go for this. perfect in texture taste. Cream cheese/Avocado/Lettuce/Cucumber and the spices/sauces which they call it chefs secret. Nicely done. Looked fresh and loved each piece.

Double cooked Berkshire pork belly with Oyster and truffle Glaze - This was served with Mantou bread. The chef has nailed this dish to perfection. Tender juicy full of flavor and soft pork belly , went well with the Oyster sauce ( garlic/ginger/Chili/Soy) Served with Pakchoy which were fresh and White fungus ( fermented Mushrooms ) yet another element which enhances the taste. If you like Pork this is a dish which needs to be asked for !

Mantou bread - Chinese bread either served steamed for fried. We asked for the fried. Made of wheat flour. This was excellent. The texture/density - just perfect . It tends to be just a bit sweet as they may be adding sugar/Honey as leavening agent. Do order. Goes well with any dish or just have it and keep on having it. Soft/Golden brown. In short fantastic.

Sushi - This was made brilliant. Correct balance of all the elements. Been having Sushi over the last 3/4 days and would rate this is one of the best. NOT STICKY compared to the one i had it a couple of days back. This was called DRAGON ROLL - Truffle Mustard ( Nice combination ) Flavor and sharp , cream cheese , togarashi ( a special 7 spice powder which they use to get the aroma and flavors ) avocado / salmon / tuna , Hamachi ( Type of Japanese fish ) caviar and chef's secret sauce. Perfect. So many elements and condiments and to balance it perfectly - great job. Presentation was perfect. Tasted lovely. Just what sushi is all about.

Spicy Har Gow with Truffle ( Caviar ) We asked this in Chicken. Done well. Nice texture. Nice stuffing of chicken ( minced and mushrooms ) Wheat start and the corn starch mix which gave a lovely outer layer. Spicy. Topped with caviar.

Morning Glory - I can't miss this. Specially when it comes to authentic Chinese preparation ( Royal China / Jia ) came owners and same preparation. Also known as Water spinach. Simple yet beautifully cooked subtle flavors and Garlic on the top with Red chilies.It's a simple Thai dish made in a couple of minutes. Also Known as Pak Boong . Stir fried and can go with every meal. It has a very different texture. Overall very good.

Truffle Edamame Dumpling - Looked simple tasted amazing . Its all about Truffle . be it The Minced/Diced Truffle ( mushrooms ) and the Truffle oil - got that aroma. Lovely texture . Perfect layer. Topped with caviar. Vegetarian delight.

Crispy Duck roll - This was an interesting order. never had duck before. This was outstanding. Basically comes in the shape of a spring roll stuffed with thinly sliced duck ( breasts ) Spiced ( pepper/Clove / ref chills / ginger / soy sauce ) Rolled in a shape of Spring roll , Fried and served.Since i say it was my first time , I loved what i had. No complains. Got that sweet/tangy taste.

King Prawns in Home made XO sauce - Xo originated in Hong Kong , Jia has got Hong Kong to colaba. Lovely sauce - this is the star dish of the day. When they say King prawns it was ! Amazing. basically the prawns were a fresh catch stir fried. Lovely condiments added to the sauce. garlic/Soy sauce/ lemon grass / spring onions a hint of sugar and oil and bell peppers. Topped with Micro greens. Loved this and a must try if you like prawns. Got that spicy garlicky flavor of the XO sauce . Overall a nicely balanced dish.

Bar : Cocktails are excellent. Had the Usual Classics - Old Fashioned and the Whiskey sour - Nice job done by the bar tender ( Raju if i recollect the name - ( ex Good wife )

Dessert :

Milk Chocolate Praline - A must have not that sweet but nice texture creamy , delicious.

Classy and Classic - Innovative

MASQUE - A Classy place with a classic concept. It's all about Infusing the local Indian produce with some unique touch and ideas with some innovation and twist to creates dishes which are surprising as well as delightful.

The menu for Lunch is spread over 2/3/4 course with an additional dish (Flatbread) but dinners are different. They go up to 10 course meal. Unique is what I would call the menu - It's driven and inspired by what our farmers offer on daily basis. For example they get their chocolates from Pondicherry, cheese from Andhra, fruits from Kashmir and so on. Chef Prateek (chef and Co Owner) has given his best and the end result is fantastic.

Ambiance - Lucky to still have such colonial places (Mills if I may say so with high ceiling In Bombay, made perfect use of it. Mornings, it's a different feel with the natural night and evenings I heard it's totally the Opposite. Since we had been in the Morning, we had the 4 course meal + the Flat bread. Coming to the Cocktails - Again there is a story behind this. Its inspired ancient Ayurveda philosophy, hence their cocktails are drawn upon 5 elements and designed in that manner. Its Bhumi ( Earth ) Jal ( water ) Agni ( Fire ) Yavu ( air ) Akash ( Void )

Started with some amazing Cocktails:

Petrichor - that's a Dewar Whiskey based drink (Blended Scotch) owned by Bacardi. Had that earthy Smokey feel to it as they have used Roasted Barley / some jaggery / Lime juice and Spice tea. Perfect in taste. Very well done. They used a square ice (can't get the name) that gave the smokiness to the drink.

Masque is Known to use a lot of GIN in food as well as their drinks - One signature cocktail of theirs is " TERRA " One of the best Gin used - Bombay Sapphire ( Dry gin UK ) mixed well with raw turmeric ( had to believe ) had that got that yellowish touch / Ginger and Tonic. Mixologist has done a great job to get the balance correct. This was again a Winner by miles.

Blazed - Simple yet classy. It's all about Bourbon. A hash of angostura bitters combined with chocolate bitters (in house) with blazed coconut. Delight to have.

Aqua Collins - this was refreshing - Grey Goose / passion fruit / coconut seltzer (there the flavours are derived from natural oils) No sugar added nor any artificial ingredients. All natural. One can call it La Croix flavours. Nailed it.

Over to food: Since I was a Non Veg and my partner was veg I shall write what I had:

Andaman Snapper Geviche with Tiger Milk - Absolutely amazing. Soothing to the eye. Small Plate. First course, simple yet excellent presentation. Geviche is basically a seafood preparation from Latin America and the Caribbean. Its raw fish, here they have procured Andaman Snapper, added just a hint of Lime some radish and Khimchi - gives you that tangy taste also some fresh cucumber. Dressed in Tiger Milk (Peruvian term for citrus based marinade) this basically is a left over the fish. Used well. Overall amazing dish to have.

Tomato Tea / Toast - served as the firsts. It's all about Fresh baby tomatoes cut into half with olive oil salt and pepper + Gin infused dressing. Accompanied by Toast which was made from Potato starch which had mulberry reduction syrup topped with mascarpone and micro greens. Complimented each other well. Had that Tangy taste and the same time Crunchy ( Tomato and Potato ) Delicate yet presented beautifully.

We had a choice of Flatbread - Only lunch menu. Was a bit over baked (sides) but tasted awesome. All about getting the balance right. Onions/Chives and buffalo milk feta (sourced from Andhra) Portion size was good. Guess they also had mushrooms and the caramelized onions.

My seconds was the LAMB - I still can't forget the taste. My comfort food. Minced lamb with Arabic spices marinated well. Mustard gives you that Hit which is required. Lamb was juicy tender. They have used Marquez (Red spice) which gives you that extra bit of aroma and takes the dish to another level. Garnished with edible flowers served with salad. Can't call it a simple dish but it was class. In short NAILED IT.

I did not try the Avocado Taco - but heard it was Fantastic. Hence can't comment or write.

Coming to my Thirds - It was Out and Out class - "PORK BELLY" this was served with Noodles and egg. Presentation was perfect. Pulled pork was done perfectly. Use of teriyaki sauce + Soy as a broth or sauce was lovely. Also sprinkled on the Noodles. Overall the balance was good. Spices used were perfect not over. Topped with Greens and served with Egg. Wonderful/delicate and classy.

In between they served us Whole wheat bread which was baked in house along with Cream Butter+Himalayan salt and Spring Onion butter. Both were good.

Vegetarian seconds was -" Cociocavallo" This was done like a Brulee. Cociocavallo basically is a type of stretched curd cheese made out of sheep. One can also call it Poldolico. Gooey from inside and torched to have a Brulee texture. Topped with Strawberries and nuts. Combination was very balanced. Nicely done.

Dessert:

Coffee/Vanilla/Chocolate plated well. Strong coffee flavour. Chocolate was like a brownie texture. Lovely.

Brilliant - Hats off to Chef Farooqui

The Flute - This place really took me by surprise. Ambiance is Okay but the food is YUM. It's basically a 24 Hour Restaurant at The Krishna Palace Hotel @ Grant Road where they have opened THE BAROKE. Guess the place has more than 100+ covers and it was nice to see being packed on a weekday. I was told that weekends have a waiting - at the end of the Day it's the Food and the service which counts. It's basically Family crowd + the Hotel Guests and the Regulars.

Started with Cocktails - Whiskey Sour and some Beers (served with Peanuts) and Khichiya Papad. When it comes to Khichiya papad it has to be made perfect. The chef did a good job though I personally found some portion to be Oily. Overall it was good. Red Chilli sprinkled enhanced the taste.

Some Starters which we tasted:

Murgh Maratha Kebab - Signature Dish at The flute. Stood out. Amazing. Nice preparation. Rich/Creamy. It's all about Chicken Chunks marinated with Indian spices and herbs. Got that Creamy Texture from the Hung Curd cashew paste and the Beaten Egg White. Lovely dish. At the same time had the subtle spicy/peppery/Garlic taste. Go for it. Loved it.

Of The menu - BASA in black bean sauce. A typical style of making. Pepper/garlic/Bell Pepper/Ginger/Spring onions. Soft. Again a winner.

Mutton Seekh Kebab - Undoubtedly the DISH of the Day. Nailed it. Amazing. Nice presentation. Lovely texture. Rich in flavour minced well - aromatic. Use of Spice and saffron balanced well along with chilli. Garnished with Mint leaves. Juicy Tender. MUST ORDER. Skewered and cooked in clay oven. Nailed it chef. Would go for this over and over again.

Teekha Paneer Mirch - The name says it all. Yes did give the hit of the spice. Complement the chefs to have given one of the softest Paneer I have had in recent time's .I know its malai Paneer even then the softness was amazing. Had the Curry pata Tadka. A Mix of Schezwan and Curry pata tadka. Lovely.

Chicken Phuljadi - This is an interesting name. When asked why this name? Reply it's the chef's creation. Anyways, this was a Killer. Chicken was Juicy at the same time tender. Marinated well. Hung curd/Indian spices and a surprise element Shredded Carrots. Balanced the dish so well cut the spice level with the sweet carrot. A bit peppery at the end but the last taste was that slight sweetness from the Carrot. Shine was amazing. Ghee brushed once out the oven. Lovely. Must order.

Over to the Mains - was a bit disappointed by Angara Chicken, was expecting a lot. Did not live up to MY expectation, though the dish was good. Chunks of chicken in red spicy (tomato/Onion) gravy with carom seeds. Chicken may have been a bit under. Overall OK to good. This was highly recommended by the restaurant. Maybe an off day for this dish OR I had a mind set to Order Butter Chicken.

Butter Chicken - now this is by comfort food. Loved it. Just YUM. Creamy tangy spicy shredded pieces of chicken cooked in tomato gravy. Chicken was juicy/Tender a perfect Butter chicken. Loved it.

Dal Khichdi (Subz Khichdi) - an all time favorite. Garlicky Long grain basmati rice (a bit low on salt on that understandable) this was flavoured with Garam masala layered with assorted vegetables garnished with Onions and Cashew nuts. Lovely dish to end the meal not before we were served the dessert.

Kulfi Falooda with Rabdi - Yum must try.
nicely presented.

This place also serves some good Chinese (I tasted the Basa) and can way it was prepared can vouch that they have some good Chinese. Pizzas and continental dishes are a part of the menu as well. Since I did not try I am not able to comment.

Overall - The USP is the pricing. Being a restaurant in a 4 star property the prices are just perfect. The quantity they serve and the quality of food - I would love to visit this place over and over again. Hence not surprised with the Family crowd who seems to be Regulars and the regular crowd who knew exactly what to order.

They also have a place which is called SUDAMA a pure Vegetarian place.

I would recommend this place to all.

Royal China, Fort

Some Fine Tuning required

Royal China is all about some Authentic Chinese food.

Restaurant has a very classy look. Just near sterling. Reservation is required if you happen visit on the weekends. Service is spot on and the servers know exactly what the order is.

Loved the Vegetable and Chives/Chicken and Mushrooms in the Dumplings section. Well done Thin Layer and nice stuffing.

Chinese Bread is worth a try and my favorite. Steamed as well as fried. Opted for Fried. Golden Brown just perfect. Loved it.

Morning Glory - done well . Garlicky and cooked perfectly.

Chicken with Dry Red Chili - Nicely done.

Not to miss the Caramel Custard. One of the best. Try out.

though the restaurant is a bit pricey its worth every penny.

You can try the Tasting Menu ( Seafood gourmet/House Dinner/Vegetarian - 2 people min )

In short i would rate Royal China as one of the best in this part of town.

Pan Of Asia, Lower Parel

A bit addictive this place , specially the SOM TAM SALAD / CRISPY LOTUS STEM TOSSED IN HONEY CHILI.

Impressed by the Som Tam - bold flavours ( Sour/chili/sweet/salty/tangy) This was better then the one i called for at Lower Parel - This was more Juicy how it has to be. Lovely Fresh ( came close to the ones you get in Bangkok Streets MINUS the level of Chili )

Lotus Stem was again a good crunchy dish. Sesame. Not soggy. Got the flavours of both Sweet/Spicy. Lovely texture.

Chicken Black Pepper - Dry Starter but good. Hit of Pepper was perfect ( pepper sauce balanced well ) Onions/Bell Peppers Complimented it well. Nice.

Chicken Dim Sums - Loved this one. Half the battle one when it survives the travel time. Had to steam it a bit to get it Piping hot. Once done was good. Stuffing was nice. The layer was good. Overall a nice dish to Order.

Kung Pao Paneer - basically a Stir Fry recipe with it's spicy velvety sauce like texture with vegetables. Popular dish in the Schezuan region. Charred Red chillies gets that fiery spicy taste to the vegetables. Loved it. Paneer was soft.

Thai Green Curry - Not Thick ( This is how it is suppose to be ) Maybe its fresh coconut paste used. Not sure. Nice texture. Coconut/Kaffir lime/Lemon Grass ( Nice balance ) Just a hint of Thai Basil leaves. Loved it with Rice. Veggies used were good.

Veg Wok In a Bowl - Make your own WOK - Here it was Noodles/Tofu with Kung Pao sauce and exotice vegetables like Broccoli/Zucchini/Bell pepper/Pak choy with onions/Garlic. Looks Simple but good. caramelized onions on the top enhances the taste. Loved it. portion size fantastic.

Overall - a lovely experience to order from this chain.

Do try , it has not let me down.

Meraki - Chinese Delivery outlet but has the Famous Burmese Khausuey as well.
2 outlets if I am correct.

Got the delivery on time.

Packing was good.

Even after the Travel time of 40+ minutes the food was Hot ( not piping hot )

Vegetarian it was the Famous Kung Pao Potatoes / Stir Fried Asian Veggies / Paneer Sizzling Garlic Paprika and Non Veg it was Chicken Green Thai Curry with Rice.

Kung Pao Potatoes - Was worried as it becomes a bit soggy. Was OK. Not Dry as well. Had a hit of Kung pao sauce. Complimented well was the celery and sesame. Overall a dish worth Ordering.

Stir Fried Asian Veggies - Loved this. Can can be called a mini meal. Perfectly done. Nice Hit of Garlic. Lots of elements used and stirred to perfection. Garlic hit was main. Broccoli/Zucchini/Ginger/Red Cabbage/Bell pepper/Baby corn/Spinach and i guess Pok choy. Lovely meal to have. Crunchiness of the zucchini/Baby corn was good.

Paneer Sizzling garlic Paprika - the same says it all. Soft Paneer / Garlicky / peppery and spicy. Texture was perfect. Big cubes of Paneer ( soft ) Not a single cube broken. Nicely done. Loved this. Nice balance of spic level.

Green Thai Curry with chicken + Rice
Just a bit runny. If they have used fresh coconut then it i can understand. If powder or paste a bit thick it would have been better. Consistency goes a bit down. there was punch the aromatic flavor of coconut and lemon grass/Kaffir Lime was just a bit short. (Please look into it )
Loved the Idea of HOLY BASIL ( Tulsi ) as a garnish over the Rice. Enhanced the flavor and got that aroma in the rice. Overall a good dish.

Quantity of all the 4 above were good.
The prices are Good.
VFM in my opinion.
Above food came with Soy sauce/chilly sauce packet ( but did not require ) as all the dishes were balanced well.

If i happen to be Near new Mumbai - will try order.

Nothing has changed

Nothing has changed - Was a Fan of Busaba from Mandlik House days to Lower Parel.
Busago Now - same owner , same recipe , he can't go wrong with some of the signature dishes. In Fact kaukswe is one of the Burmese dishes which the Mumbai People came to know after Busaba ( Just a guess ) or rather Busaba made it Popuar.

Busago , Be it Fort/Mahim/Bkc - Casual dining - Small compact.

Got a chance to visit their BKC outlet - Cute place next to the biggies ( But packed Post 8 Pm )

Tried The Gado Gado Salad - Indonesian , this is all about getting the correct balance of Boiled blenched and steamed vegetables , these guys got it right. Hard Tofu and peanut. Personally thought this could have been better. Overall taste was good. Peanut dressing gave a good balance to the dish. Caramelized onions the crunchiness.

Momos - Busago , one must try the momos
It was Chicken and Prawns - Chicken was good/ Nice stuffing/Juicy/ Layer was thin.
Prawns on the other hand - Just a bit Dry ( stuffing ) since Momos is their speciality ( Chef please look into this )

Salt and Pepper chicken - NAILED it. Perfect. The Corn batter stir fried chicken gave a crunchiness needed. Just about perfect. Frankly you can't stop having one. peppery Hit was good. Garlic/Spring Onion enhanced the taste. For me a clear Winner and the dish of the day.

Crispy Potato - Again simple yet fantastic dish to have. Corn batter fried. Crunchy. Chilly flakes/Garlic. Amazing.

These guys have a section called Bahn Mi sandwiches - a fusion between east and west.
Tried the :

THIS SIDE OF PARADISE - WOW , sweet/tangy/Spicy/Juicy. Its all about getting the Asian flavours and the texture perfect. The pickled vegetables made a difference. Got that Sweet/tangy taste. Teriyaki chicken marinated well. Juicy/Perfect. Bell peppers/Pesto and mayo balanced the dish well. With all these ingredients used this can sometimes be Messy. Not here. Grilled well. tasted Superb.

In short - Loved this place.
Missed out on the Signature Dish - Burmese Kaukswe - if i have a chance to visit fort will just make a Pit stop.
Must try .

Overall The ambiance and the feel of this cute place is good and the service is fast.

24 Sheesha has managed to get some good locations under them. Already 4 outlets and this is the 1st one which they had opened.
Simple concept - Sheesha , Munchies , Good food and alcohol ( This outlet does not serve alcohol ) but the food is outstanding.
They have kept it simple. No rocket science. Concentrate on the Sheesha and food.
After a long time , loved what ever we ordered for.

Service perfect. Ambiance good.

Fries : Italian tadka Marke - was crispy , done well. Golden brown. In house. Olive oil, garlic, chilly flakes and herbs. All in all a perfect way to start. ( missed my beer ) but the fries were yum. Nice portion.

Chicken Tikka Stir fried : A bit indian and a bit of Chinese , overall good. Tikka Stir fried in Schezwan sauce , capsicum , onions . Over all Tangy spicy and perfect. Chicken Pieces tender/Juicy. Presentation good.

Pao Bhaji Tava Tostie - now this is innovative. Something different. And a must order dish. Pav bhaji stuffed or rather a sandwich in between two breads toasted. Bhaji perfect. Mashed properly. Full of spices and Presented well. Correct stuffing. Not Oily. Spices balanced. Served with fries.

Balchao Prawns - Simple , no rocket science , crispy fried. Bread Crumbs + sesame ( white ) fried perfectly. Served with Tartar sauce. Nice juicy medium sized prawns. Liked the dish.

Butter Chicken - after a long time had a change to have a typical Punjabi style Butter chicken. No sugar no cream. Tangy spicy thick gravy, amazing texture, shredded chicken. garnish of cream. Overall a typical Punjabi preparation.
They do not serve Naan or Bread , it was Jeera Rice - perfect.
Nice combination and balance.
Overall tasted good, Polished off the entire dish.

Overall :

Personally feel this place stands out as far as the food as concerned. Had a Sheesha as well ( small ) made well. A fresh lime soda as well.

Try this place out.
the food is limited but whet ever they have in the menu , they have given justice.

Nice experience - MUST TRY

RainForest Resto - Bar , Now at Phoenix Lower Parel ( Exit Byblos )



After a long time , had some authentic kebabs or rather Indian food . Be It any Kebabs , Prawns , Paneer as far as the Indian Section of the Menu goes This place has a fantastic range and the taste is Outstanding. Italian on the other hand was a bit of a miss , maybe i was comparing the high standard which the chef set for the Indian Food - Full marks Chef Yatin to have giving a tasting of some amazing kebabs.



Rainforest as you know is a jungle themed family restaurant and this place is here to stay. Maybe a bit pricy but the ingredients and the quantity makes it a fair price and yes the presentation - Its fantastic.



Focusing on the Kebabs that we had : ( my partner is a vegetation ) lucky me to have tasted both.



Started with a simple yet elegant looking Flambé PANEER ANGAREY - diced paneer flambéed with Vodka giving that ceramic glaze and taste was just perfect. spicy and hit the correct notes. Great start.



MURG ALISHAAN KEBAB - fantastic presentation , comes in a cart ( pic Uploaded ) again the spices played a key role to get this kebab to a great level. Boneless chicken marinated with tandoori masala had a bit of cheese and crushed peanut paste which balanced out the spices cooked in a clay tandoor. This was juicy/Spicy in short a winner of a dish and melted in the mouth - A MUST ORDER.



RED COOKED PANEER - a vegetarian dish with a garlic sauce base , nice , served with glass noodles. Had a garnish of spring Onion and broccoli. And had that Chinese taste to it. Lovely.



MURG SCHEZWAN KEBAB - this is their signature dish , innovation at its best. Chicken tikka pieces marinated well with Indian spices and herbs and served with schezwan sauce . Correct balance. It did give me a hint of that Kashmiri touch . when asked it was smoked with apple wood. That's innovation at its best. Hats off chef !! Till now No flaw - trying to search for one !!



MURG SHIKARI KABAB - Leg pieces of chicken used , this was tangy with bones , basically like a pahadi kebab, lot of coriander and Mint used to get it perfect. Marinated with spicy chilly , coriander mint paste yogurt and homemade spices. Soft Juicy and aromatic. YUM !! Served on a tandoori clay.



CHEESE CHILLY ROLL - i loved this. Great stuffing of cheese and jalapeno rolled in wonton wrap deep fried. Crispy ( this is important ) Served in a cutting chai glass which had a basic Italian sauce ( tomato/olive/basil) tasted good. This comes under the Italian section in the menu



Can't get the name of this Dish - But guess it was :



PRAWNS IN COCKTAIL SAUCE - fantastic presentation. (pic uploaded) prawns cooked to perfection. Juicy lemony , tender and crispy which means cooked well. And the cocktail sauce which served with it was mind blowing !! Mayo/tomato/feta/Worcestershire sauce/lemon/cilantro = WOW personally felt this was the star dish of the day !! Amazing aroma and balance.



For me for the above starters it's a perfect score.



Coming to the Mains -

Baked Farfalle with Gorgonzola Cream - (Gorgonzola cheese + whipped cream ) rich in texture but missed out a bit on the Farfalle pasta ( a bit over cooked ) taste was good , elements like capsicum yellow and red bell pepper gave that crunchiness to the dish as well as zucchini corn . Apart from the overdone pasta i liked the dish.



Spaghetti In Tomato Sauce - thanks chef to make a vegetarian version. and this stood out. Colourful , aromatic and full or flavours. Got the punch from the Feta the sweetness and tanginess from the tomato sauce , carrots , zucchini , capsicum went well. Balanced dish at the end. Again slightly overdone the spaghetti. ( chef do look into it please)



Risotto with Tomato and Basil - YES !! This was nailed perfectly. Rice cooked to perfection. This is risotto all about. One mistake and it's gone for a toss. Picture perfect. Presentation great. Garnished with parsley and diced pieces of tomato - Texture good , taste awesome.



Had heard that the Dal Makhani at Rainforest is good - just asked for a tasting portion , the smokiness was there but was cut out as it was a bit sweet, presentation was lovely. Bread served was good. For me Dal Minus the sweetness would take this to another level. Texture was good cooked to perfection.



Dessert :

It was Tiramisu - presented beautifully , great quantity and tasted good.



This place is known for some amazing cocktails - I will not describe it but will recommend you to try out :



Smoked and Hammed - This was awesome , Vodka/Gin/White Rum/Tequila.....



last but not the least -



DRAGON BREATH - wow !! This is awesome at -92 its magic created and seeing is believing and tasting it , it's heaven. In short its White Rum/Orange/Cranberry...



Daiquiri - an all time classic made in a classic way and tasted perfect.



Old Fashioned - whiskey based drink - again Rainforest has its own innovative way to make it and present it , lot of herbs and flavours , do try out.



OVERALL - Much Needed Restro Bar at Phoenix lower parel . Guys have worked hard on the menu , i again mention the Indian is good , need to try the other cuisines as well , surely will be back -lot of choice in the menu.



Thanks to the entire staff of rainforest - Chef Yatin/Deepak , I'm sorry can't get the name of the person who took care of our table.
